Umm, if you need to be downtown, I guess this place will do. I was there first week of April in transit to Cuba. My travel agent booked it because the price was right, although there are better options near the airport.

Found a good bakery for breakfast, when you leave front door head to your right past tennis courts. It is about 100 yards on the right hand side.

The staff were friendly and there is free WIFI in the lobby. Overall, an OK experience. Room I had 210 overlooked pool, which was nice. Basic room, OK bed, adequate bathroom. Nothing facny.

If you are coming to Cancun for beach, bars, etc... then look elsewhere.

This hotel is located downtown Cancun one street from the main one. The lobby is modern and has a martini bar but the sofa were not as comfortable as they seemed. There is a restaurant that offer a buffet for 16.50$. A bit expensive since they offer nothing fancy and the ambiance and decoration is not very pleasant or attractive. It looked more like a cheap cafeteria.

I stayed on the 2nd floor. The room was your basic family economic one. It had 2 queen size bed, a big TV, Internet access, hairdryer, 2 phones and a view of the pool. The rooms are not sound proof. In fact when people are walking in the hall way (starting at 6.30am) it feels like they are in your room. You can also ear the people playing in the pool and there was construction going on at the hotel in the back of ours while I was there and the sledgehammer sound was loud and annoying. The linen seemed very old and flat like in a cheap motel. They also smelled very bad so I asked if they could be changed. The new ones smelled as bad so is really the soap they use that smells this way. It is kind of horrible. I wish they used some basic Tide! The bathroom was big, clean and beautiful and good body products where offered. It had very beautiful ceramic all over and a nice recent white tub. In Mexico it seems to take about 5 minutes before you get hot water.

This hotel is for business travelers. I did not do my research well enough since I instead wanted to stay in the touristic hotel zone where you find good malls, restaurants and the nightlife. I did not find the main street downtown interesting at all. People also don't speak English there. Local restaurants did not look nice or clean. I did experience the local living days prior and was more looking for the upscale living in Cancun. The small shops and markets are mostly selling outdated items, the same old souvenirs or things we can find at home.

You can take a bus for 70¢ and get to the hotel zone but its 20 minutes away. I was on a budget so for 80$ a night I was ready to compromise. So if you want to go to the beach in the afternoon you have to come back downtown to shower and dress up to go back for dinner, it’s a drag. So if you go for vacation you should stay in the Hotel Zone. The view of the beach in stunning everywhere there and some of the architecture petty amazing. “The Forum” is the Time Square of Cancun and its where you can find great clubs like Coco Bongo. You also have to eat at Cambalache an Argentinean restaurant that serve the best steaks in the world!

Also a taxi to the airport from the Radisson Hotel is 20$ but if you don’t have to many language and can walk to the main street you can take a bus for 0.90¢ instead.

This is a good place for those who want to skip the expensive hotel zone in Cancun. It's central, clean, and up-to-date; the staff is pleasant, and overall, it provides decent value for the money. All the details and photos on their website are pretty much as advertised. I'd stay here again if travelling to Cancun.

“Very nice”

Radisson Hotel Hacienda Cancun

Feb 7, 2008

We stayed at the Radisson for 4 nights. It was very pretty, the staff was very helpful, though they tried hard to understand english and help in everyway. The balconies were nice to sit out on, room service was very good. If you want to stay in a nice quite and reasonable hotel this is the one. If you prefer the party life of the hotel zone, then I would not recomend this hotel. Would definatley stay there again. Only 2 blocks to the bus zone on Tulem, one thing to remember always get on bus R1 downtown-hotel zone.

We stayed here as we had read that the shuttle and beach club passes made up for the hotel not being on the beachfront, however these services had been suspended by the time we stayed.
It is a nice hotel and certainly cheaper than the beach front ones, but the taxi fares to the beach are expensive so if you are a beach goer then the money you save staying here will be used up quickly in taxi fares. The buses are cheap, regular and safe so are a better option.
The hotel was clean, the pool was nice and most of the staff were helpful. One barman was not so helpful, but all the rest were.
There is one PC to use and the internet often didnt work so bring a laptop as wireless is free.
