We arrived in Cancun on March 5th and planned to stay at this hotel one night before travelling through Mexico by car the next day.
In one word, it was average. For the price I paid it wasn't any great surprise.

Beds are hard and very small.
The bar charges $4.00 US a beer. We wallked down the streeet and got a bucket of 4 beers for 6 dollars.
This is not in a very tousist area so not much to see if you are staying longer than a few days (unless you have a car).

The hotel was VERY noisy. Especially on the floor above us. One of the rooms started to party at 9:00 pm and by 1:00 am I was so exhausted I went to the front desk to complain.

The front desk attendent did not look impressed that I complained but to give them credit the party was over within half an hour.

The part that annoyed me the most is the time share guy who approached us in the lobby before we even got in the door.. I was tired after travelling all day and was not in the mood.

The air conditioner worked well but was VERY noisy.
This hotel was ok even though I can't say I got a good night sleep.
Best part of the hotel was that it was close to all the street vendors who made great CHURROS...yummy.

We were booked into a ground floor room that smelled musty and moldy. We asked to check out another room up on the third floor and it was the same. By this time it was after midnight, we were too tired to argue. So, we decided to stay in the original room. We were planning to stay there two more nights a week later, so we told the woman at the check out desk. She promised we would have a better room when we returned. She was right. The room overlooked the pool and maybe that's the answer. The breezes from the inner courtyard may have something to do with the fresh smell. I'm just guessing, but I'd ask for a room above the ground level that overlooks the pool. We were very pleased with the room. The hotel is very clean, the service is terrific and the food in the restaurant is good. One criticism is that the business center computer (there's only one and you pay to use it) is not connected to a printer.

I recommend that travelers stay in the city of Cancun instead of the Hotel Zone. This is the best way to experience Cancun and the Radisson offers everything you could need (ex. transportation to the beach, a pool, tennis court, close to good restaurants) for a good price.

The hotel is located in the town cancun and not on the hotel zone. It's a good hotel for 1 night after arrival, but that's it. The rooms are ok and the food aswell, but there is not much in the area.

We stayed here for one night on our way back to the UK from Belize. It is within walking distance of the bus station, just, as long as you have wheeled luggage. Took us maybe 15 minutes at an easy pace, otherwise the taxi fare is about US$4. The hotel was actually more upmarket than I was expecting with free wi-fi internet in the room and smart decor throughout and a reasonably sized pool area which we overlooked from our balcony.
Our tariff didn't include breakfast so we walked out and had a great breakfast at a smart cafe packed with locals about 300m. along the street - turn right out of the entrance - and it occupied a corner spot.
There is a small but interesting Mexican market along Ave. Tulum, behind the fire station, where we picked up some souvenirs at good prices without the hassle of haggling.
This was a good place to unwind after a fairly tiring trip and I'd recommend it if a hotel in the downtown area is what you are looking for.
