Myself and my 11year old daughter stayed in this hotel for 5 days and 4 nights. There are 3 buildings on this property and we stayed in one of the newer buildings and had no problems with our accommodations. The view was amazing and our room was very clean. We did have cold showers in the evenings when we showered before dinner, most likely because everyone was showering at that time after leaving the pool or beach.

The poolside food is very good however the restaurants are overpriced so I suggest eating off property if you do not have the all inclusive plan. The front desk staff was helpful most of the time and there were always people around the hotel cleaning and available to assist if needed.

Overall the location of the resort is excellent, it was very clean, and a very relaxing environment. Both pools are beautiful and the beach was never too crowded. There are great restaurants in walking distance and there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel.

My only warning is do not book through Best Day Travel. Other than that you can get some really low rates on this hotel and you will not be disappointed.

We were looking forward to a well deserved relaxing break with some diving thrown in for my husband (which didn't happen due to the weather). We had a very long journey from the UK and when we eventually arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was unaccommodating of our request to pay the difference and upgrade to include breakfast each day. Apparently, ‘it’s not hotel policy’. We had to sign a waiver not to bring food or drink into the hotel....needless to say we did because their prices were super inflated - 55 pesos for a litre of water there, 11 pesos for 4 litres in Walmart - go figure!! Beer and food prices, we thought, were also extortionate.

The room was no more and no less than expected though the bed pillows were not very comfortable.

We found the security guards very intimidating - always there with their walky talkys - perhaps it was their uniforms which are quite military looking, and I was terrified they would want to check our bags or room - like I imagine a military state!

The pool men were always sweeping. Constantly. Even when there was nothing to sweep! Very unrelaxing, like someone cleaning around you when you're at home.

The pools were great – I didn't use the jacuzzi - all that sloughed off body fat - and the beach was fab, very small but fab.

We had fun, but that was because we usually do, nothing to do with the hotel or its amenities.

When we settled our bill in cash and I had my credit card receipt returned, I was charged 1 Mexican cent. Now I know in monetary terms, the value is next to nothing. But just think, all those 1 Mexican cents that are collected have got to add up to a substantial amount over a year - quite a nice little earner for the hotel - and the irony is, I'll be charged at least £2.50 by my credit card provider for NOT using my card! That in itself really tipped me over the edge. I wouldn't return to the hotel on principal and for the first time ever, I was relieved to be going home to relax!

Beware that there is no food or drink allowed in the room, not even a delivered pizza! You are not even allowed to go down to the restaurant and take it to your room. Room service stopped at 6:30! They confiscated our beer at the door. So if you like to have a beer while you are getting ready, or take some to the beach, pick another hotel, or smuggle it in your bag to your room.

The views were awesome and the place was very nice otherwise.

Hotel was great especially the views. We arrived early but the front desk gave us a room and told us it was ready. But when we got upstairs the maid was still cleaning our room and had to wait another hour or so. The elevators were tiny, but that isn't really a biggie. The only problem we had was that the pool isn't 24hrs and close early. They closed early at 8-9pm, so we werent able to take a late night swim. The bed was a little too hard for our liking. The food at the cafe was good, we ate there twice. Red flag was up all weekend but that didnt stop the guys we were with to go play with the waves. There is internet available but for a fee... $5 for 1/2 hour. Walking distance to the club and about 20-30minute walk to La Isla mall but you can take the bus for 7.50 pesos and there's a bus basically almost 2-5mins. Basically I'll just sum it up in pros or cons.

Cons:
-pool closes early
-hard bed
-bathroom needs updating
-small elevators
