Here overnight for our early flight out of Cancun. Great location with lots of restaurants and the 'main drag' in downtown Cancun nearby, yet our room was quiet (although toward the back). Also easy walking distance to the two main markets for ceramics, etc. Pleasant and helpful staff. Room is fairly basic but nice enough, clean, a/c, balcony, good beds. Has pool, parking, very nice terrace rest/cafe out front. (The wonderful La Parrilla rest. is almost nextdoor- great food, reasonable, lots of locals and generally some kind of fun waiter/show or wandering mariachis going on - an impressive staff effort at this place.) This hotel could be an option to the high-priced places at the beach I suppose, as the mini-buses are plentiful and easy to get out there.

I stayed here one night as my flight came into Cancun at night and I needed a place to sleep before heading off to Merida.

I booked it on the internet, based on price and a couple of positive reviews here but was still a bit nervous as how good could a US$50 a night hotel be?

Well... it is one of the best deals I have ever seen for a clean, decent, quiet and safe hotel in downtown Cancun!

The staff were very nice, the location was very convenient (right next to ADO, the bus station), and the room was very comfortable. The pool is very nice too, and there are some great restaurants nearby.

The hotel was very clean and the staff is very nice and go out of their way to help. The hotel is right downtown among various restaurants of local cuisine. It is also very close to the bus station. If you want to visit REAL Mexico, this is the place to stay. Be sure to book online to get the best rate!

Like the other reviews have said, this hotel is pretty far from the beach and main tourist attractions. That said, the money we saved staying here was put to great use on the days we did take the bus to the strip. The bus rides were actually one of my favorite parts of the trip-very cultural and even exhilarating since the drivers go so fast. They were very easy to catch and get off of. The lobby was very nice with open air and lots of sun. The room was a little on the shabby side. It was clean, but some wood was splintering in the bathroom and the air conditioner did not work very well. Our T.V. didn't work at all, although we didn't miss it.

The staff was actually very nice and helpful. They told us how to get to the bus, even drawing us a map. Our reservation had gotten lost when we arrived, but the staff promised to take care of it (which they did) and they put us in a room right away.

If I were to go to Cancun again I would definately stay in the hotel zone, but the Margaritas did add to our experience in Mexico and I don't regret it.
