We had a group of 42 people ranging ages 18 - 63 for our annual trip to Tucancun staying 7 nights. All had a great time and cannot wait to go back. Tucancun was clean and tidy. Accommodations were adequate. Although there were many new faces at Tucancun, they all seemed to know the group and who we were.

The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and always willing to help you. It is amazing the long hours these people work and never complain and are always smiling. It is the great staff that keeps us returning to Tucancun!

Overall food was good. This is not a luxury resort, but you will not starve. You will find something to eat! Mexican Restaurant is excellent food and service.

The animation staff made sure activities were non stop. This included volleyball, water aerobics, water polo, bingo, name that tune, stretching, contests, not to mention the shows and entertainment at night. Awesome people!

The waiters, waitresses, and bartenders made sure we had everything we needed. Glasses were kept filled, service was excellent.

Our friends got married on the beach at Tucancun while we were there. Tucancun did a wonderful job on making all arrangements and the wedding was beautiful.

I would highly recommend Tucancun. It is the great staff that keeps our group coming back year after year! This is a fun place for all ages! We truly had an awesome experience at Tucancun and our "Southern Gang" will return next April!

The Tucancun resort was so much fun. Myself and two other girls went for a week, May 8th-May 15th, for my college graduation present. We spent a lot of time a the "party pool", as we named it. They play games, have the swim up bar and play music. If you play a game be ready to drink Tequila if you mess up. The food left a little to be desired, but that's not what we were there for. The Mexican Resturant was pretty good, but if you want to eat there you have to make reservations pretty early. The snack bar was open most of the day and it had some pretty good stuff. Breakfast was best. Everything seemed just a little off, kind of like if you get the grocery store brand versus the name brand. Not horrible though. The lobby bar was a lot of fun at night, they had different contests and singing. Each night the hotel would choose a bar in town, you would pay them around $30, US. They would give you a free ride there and give you a wristband and it was all you could drink. Shots were limited, but if you paid for a shot mostlikely it was watered down, but overall it is definetly worth it to get the wristband. We had a great time and I would definetly stay at the Tucancun again. Not a place for children though. I would stay somewhere else for a family vacation. We only saw a handfull of kids the entire week. Overall it was a great week, we really enjoyed everything.

Absolutey loved it. We stayed May 20-24 and could not have asked for more. The hotel is very nice and exactly what we were looking for. If you're looking for an upscale high class hotel this is not the one but if you want a fun nice laid back hotel where anything goes-definitely stay here. Pools were awesome, food ok, drinks ok but after a couple tequila slammers who can tell the difference. They tell you tips are included but the bartenders start ignoring you after a while and taking a long time to get your drinks if you dont tip. We actually got cut off from drinks one night. We met some great people and almost cried when we left. We ended up having to stay another night in a different hotel because our plane was overbooked and I wont mention the name but we HATED it and missed Tucan! Loved it so much we're going back in August!!

We stayed at the Tucancun from May 13-22. We were actually moved there after one night of staying in the Caracol Village(absolute hell-read my other review"save your money dont stay here")! The Tucancun was wonderful. My husband and I had an incredible ocean view room with a balcony. There were three pools and plenty of beach chairs for everyone, there were also cabana's, palm trees and little huts for shade. The beach was very clean and well kept. The food was your typical all inclusive. There were some really good dishes and some really bad but overall there was a lot to choose from. I was impressed that neither of us got sick (we stayed at a different resort last year and became very ill from the food). The staff sooo friendly. Everyone went out of their way to help in any way they could and make you feel welcome. There was a little hut by one of the pools where you could go and get massages-only $25.00 for half hour. I read someone else's review that stated that the room looked like it was made of garage sale items-I think they must have had a supersaver room or something because ours on the 4th floor was awesome. I got to see a room on the first floor that they used as a courtesy room for you to shower in after you had checked out of your room-this was really nice because check out is at 12:00 and our flight didn't leave until 8:00pm. Anyway the rooms on the first floor are by far not as nice as the others so try to stay away from them. The drinks were wonderful. Nothing was watered down-try the miami vice it is awesome! There were shows to watch every night- the Mayan show was really cool. Going into town shopping was also really fun, the bus ride is only .60 US and it only takes a few minutes to get to the markets. One thing to beware of is not to loose your wristband that they give you upon check in. My husband's some how came off and they tried to charge us $38.00 for a new one, luckily we found the broken off one and did not have to pay the fee. This fee is cheap in comparison to other resorts though where I have heard they charge upwards of $100.00. Overall this was an amazing vacation. I am most definately going back next year!
