Had a fabulous time at the Tucan Cun resort this past May. You will get a lot of bang for the buck.

Rooms were exceptionally clean. Staff very friendly, and provided good service whenever asked. Pools were awesome, with lots of chairs available aways. Food was good, not great, but we sure ate a lot of it. Bars were good too. Beach was terrific. Lots of clean white sand, and crystal clear water.

We were honeymooning, and found champagne and fruit in our room, as well as rose petals laid out in a heart shape on our bed, as well as more on the sink, and shower. Also towels folded to look like swans. It was a real nice touch.

All in all it was a wonderful trip. Don't believe the bad food reviews. I've stayed at Cancun Palace, Beach Palace, and Sandals in the Bahamas, and while there wasn't quite the variety there was in the others, there was always something good to eat, and plenty of it.

This absolutely has to be the worst hotel in cancun!
First when we got there, we had problems with the staff. They were extremely rude. especially at the front desk. We also had to wait like a hour before we even got in our rooms. we had met 2 guys who were there for only 20 minutes, while their travelers' checks eere stolen. The security were more like stalkers. I felt like they were always around. One security guard in paticular stood outside of our door all night. you could look out ofthe peep hole and see him standing there. it was very annoying. we had a cleaning lady walk in our room while we were sleeping, even though there was a do not disturb sign on it. there were no alarm clocks or anything.
We had the all-inclusive. They gave us these bracelets to wear. they told us that if we ever needed another one to come to the front desk. so when my friend lost hers, we thought hey, no big deal. they then told her she had to pay 38.00 for a new bracelet. so she was like forget it. because the food was awful. it was bland, with no taste. i got sick too. It was terrrible. they didn't even clean off the tables. i saw them brush it off with there hands.
Anyway when we checked out, they gave us a big problem and told us we could not leave until we had paid for the bracelet. we argued it, but since you have 100 security fee, they threatned to charge the card. so we really had no chioce but to pay it.
Basically the hotel is a big hoax. the important things you need to know they don't tell you until you check out and find out you have a lot of uneccesary charges. the are out to get your money. this is not a good place to stay. beware!

My daughter and I had the best vacation at the TucanCun! The reviews we read before going must have been wrtten by some pretty snooty people because we have nothing bad to say. We went to relax and have fun and that's exactly what we did. Thanks to the entertainment staff we were never bored or looking for something to do! Hi to all we met (It's gonna be a scorcher!) (4 deep!) (hey there Alabama!) We can't wait to go back!

We had a group of 16 people, mostly couples, stay here May 22nd-26th. We all stayed in the North wing, and had very nice rooms. We had no problems checking in and most of our rooms were ready when we got there at noon. Our room overlooked a mall and the bay, but we were high enough up the mall view didn't bother us, and we got to see the sunset every night. THe frozen drinks were OK, all tasted like pina coladas. Food wasn't that great, but with the price, you can't complain. Over all a great trip, and would definitely go back!!! BTW - take a day trip to Isla Mujarez and ride scooters, VERY FUN!!!
