WOW! Amazing! The staff was the best part of this resort, well the sun was amazing, the room were VERY clean, the bartender at the swim up bar was second to none! We were on our honeymoon with our eight year old and mother in law. A all around perfect vacation! Very kid friendly and the staff we cannot say enough about. Food was awesome! We will be back next year!

We have been to Cancun twice and stayed at Barcelo Tucancun both times...we are going back again inJuly '09. I have been researching to maybe stay at another place but have yet to find something I feel comfortable with like Barcelo! The staff is amazing and always there to be helpful! The bartenders were awesome! The food was good....we walked across the street to the mall one afternoon and ate at the mall and then went downtown Cancun and went to El Pericos...had so much fun! We like to just sit around the pool, relax, tan with a cold drink and that is exactly what we did! The activities pool is so much fun! Never a dull moment there! Both times we went my hubby and I had a couples massage at their spa, it was average price and very nice and relaxing! Don't listen to everyones complaining reviews.....this is an amazing place for the money! You cannot go wrong!

After reading the reviews on the Tucancum we were a bit aprehensive to say the least but we loved it.The staff were very friendly and always had a smile, they was always someone somewhere cleaning, our room was cleaned everyday and the fridge stocked everyday.We hired a safe for our duration and kept our valuables in there.The pools were clean and we saw someone checking the water everyday. Ok, so there is no beach but we did know about this before we set off as we did a bit of homework before we booked the hotel.The food is typical all inclusive fayre and can get a bit boring after 14 days but it was ok, the dining room was clean and the staff kept the drinks flowing.We did a couple of trips while we were there, the bar crawl ending at Coco Bong's was amazing, we went on the nightly Captain Hook ship for a lobster meal and a party that was fantastic,also we booked a day out to the island to swim with the dolphins that was memorable. All in all we enjoyed our stay there .

I needed to get away from work and life for awhile to regroup so I went out on a limb. It was monday when I booked an inclusive trip for Tuesday to Thursday. I wanted to pay up front and be done with it. So I booked it w/o reviewing the location because I just wanted to get away.
My trips usually end up getting messed up somewhere along the way, but this was a first for me. A trip w/o problems. The best part of the trip was that the bars stay open until 5 a.m. I tipped 5 bucks to the bartender on the first day and he acted like I was a king the rest of the trip....money well spent.
The restuarants had better than average food. I was surprised because some all inclusive places that I have been to end up with some pretty crappy buffets that are not worth eating.
The room was not a luxury room by any means, but hey I was here to party not to lay around my room all day. The room was clean and very comfortable. The maid service was great. I did not have anything stolen like some reviewers had.
I don't normally return to the same place to vacation because I like to experience new things. This is one place that I would return to in the future without a doubt. I would recommend it for people who want to kick back with a drink and hang out at the pool.
