I've stayed at Sina Suites on 2 different occasions and would do so again. Sina Suites is a 3-star hotel conveniently located in an upscale residential nieghborhood next to the golf course facing the lagoon. I would strongly recommend Sina to young people who are going
to Cancun strictly to party, to large groups or people who want to save money by having huge 2-bedroom suites that accomodate 6 guests or the couple who don't need all the 5-star amenities or don't want to pay the 5-star prices. If you're seeking a resort style place, a romantic get-away, an all-inclusive deal, the infinity pool and acres
of landscaping...look elsewhere. Sina's location is simply perfect, with a 5 minute walk to restaurants, grocery stores, bus stop and a 10 minute walk to the convention center, all the nightlife and hotspots in Cancun (location is known as "La Punta" or "The peak"); it's right in the middle of the hotel zone but doesn't have the feel.
We would go down to the grocery store and stock up our fridge with alcohol, had plenty for the entire stay! The rooms are very spacious,
especially the 2-bedroom suites. You have plenty of beds, huge living
area with various bathrooms, kitchen and balconies. The cool is clean
and decent size, enough to chill there. The staff is very helpful, speak good English and give out the best whole-in-the wall, homeade cooking restaurants that are in the area, where you get the best bang for the buck, and not these chain, pricey restaurants that serve
crappy food (hint, hint: Senor Frogs, Carlos & Charlies, etc). I would definitely consider Sina Suites, don't be fooled by the color of their bed linen or the simplicity of their website. The place is really taken care of and it's in a very safe neighborhood, perfect for the people who like to explore on their own and who like to walk; we never needed to catch the bus or a cab, unless we were going very far. The place is locally owned and the owner, which lives
on-site, is very proud and particular about the accomodations they offer and service they provide; you have a problem, you complain directly to him... you don't call some 800 number or your travel agent when you get back.

If you're use to staying at hotels like The Peninsula or Ritz Carlton
or The W, this is not the place for you. But if you're the type of person that like the above stuff, then you'll be thankful you booked here. Good luck and happy travels!

Our tired weary bodies drove into the pleasant neighborhood next to a luscious golf course and little did we know that we were about to discover a fantastic, quiet oasis in the middle of noisy Cancun. Whether on business or holiday we found this to be the perfect site to branch out from. On our days off we took side trips to Isla Mujeres and Cozumel, visited Playa del Carmen and much more. The staff, the owner, the waitstaff all outdid themselves in this recently renovated hotel. I am operating my laptop wirelessly in my suite which is ample for our needs. Coffee maker and microwave graced the kitchen and made mornings easy. The pool, resturant and view of the Cancun Strip across the Lagoon made it a memorable experience in our thirty years of worldwide travel.

The Sina Suites is an excellent base for a cheap holiday. There are so many lovely places to eat in Cancun that going all inclusive is such a waste. Staying here has the best of both worlds, its so quiet and peaceful in the day and right on the lagoon, then at night cancuns restaurants and bars are just a walk away. The beach is not that close though, that is the only downfall, but Sina suites has a lovely pool so we werent too bothered. A driver for the hotel took us to a secluded beach and we were the only 4 people on it!!! Amazing. Mind you this was 1996 and no doubt you will not find it like that now.

The rooms were clean and the staff were so helpful. Air conditioning was very noisy but you got used to it after a while. Food at Sina is very basic and portions very small , you can make food yourself though as there are hobs and fridges in the rooms which were clean.

Overall a great place to stay, we loved every minute of it. I would highly recommened Sina to anyone whose not looking for 5* luxury and want a great little base for an amazing trip to Cancun.

We only booked 24 hours prior to arrival on the internet when we were in Playa del Carmen. 90% of all hotels were fully booked. Sina's location is good: just 5 minutes from the main road with frequent bus service to eithet down town or further along the hotels zone, ca. 15 minutes from Plaza Caracol, a big shopping Mall. There is a swimming pool and a fantastic view of the entire lagoon.
The recption staff was efficient and friendly. The suite, which was really too big for two of us, consisted of a living/dining room, kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and 1 toilet and 1 bedroom with a/c. The room we had was downstairs and rather dark and depressing. There was a small TV which did not work initially. We phoned reception, staff came and explained that we had to run the a/c for the TV to work!
