It was awesome I was able to do everything I wanted to and more for a great deal!

Never been on all inclusive before and was happy with the quality of the food. Drinks were fine too.
The Spanish colonial design of the hotel is wonderful. We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments across the road from the beach, quite disappointing not to have a sea view but we appreciated the quietness and the dawn chorus, plus the 2 foot long iguanas were amazing. Met a lovely guy from USA who lives in Blue Bay Club and he took us downtown to see the real side of Cancun, a Mariachi band and an exceptional singer called Martine but the name of the restaurant escapes me. Look out for Bill, our friend, who is 6' 4" and wears a checquered flat cap and shades. He will tell you where to go to see the music it must not be missed!!! Talk to the crews from the fishing boats and see what they bring in. We had a marvellous time. Thanks to the staff for being so incredibly friendly and helpful, and of course to our good mate Bill!!

We (5 lovely ladies) just got back from the BB and it was a pleasant surprise. Okay, so you can't necessarily call a sand laden bunker a beach but, hey the hotel backs onto a lagoon and a 'real' beach is a short walk or a bus ride away (for those of you who complained get of your fat a** and hop to). Buses run around the clock - cost next to nothing & it takes no more than 10 mins (if that) to get you into town.
Yeah, the bathroom did smell of sewage at certain intervals during the day, but I'm a realist - it's mexico, not Japan so I don't suppose the underlying plumming was state-of the-art, we got over it - you can too. Besides, we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room anyway.
I'm a picky eater and I love my food and, again, the BB faired well. The buffet had a reasonble selection of food and if you like your fruit (and I do like my fruit) you won't be dissapointed by the well stocked exotic array.
The smart thing to do is book the restuarants as soon as you get there (before 11am at the bar in the forecourt opposite reception).
Personally, we thought Bella Vista was the best. The chinese started off well but was a let down by the main courses.
For a nice day out catch the bus (R2) going in the direction of Porto Grande (ask for the it by name) and catch the ferry to the Island. Providing you're not sea-sick, it makes for a lovely cheap mini-adventure.
I can't comment on the other elements of the BB (i.e the 'adult' element) as we didn't get involved in the debauchery, and steered clear of frisky types!
I'd recommend you go even if only to gawp!

Me and my family stayed at Blue Bay Club Cancun during the week of April 23 through May 1, and I thought it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was amazing, they were all so nice, all the time. The food was good, the activities that were available were fun, I just thought everything was great. Thank you Blue Bay Club for a wonderful vacation, and a special thanks to the staff, I'm not going to name all of you now, there's too many to write in here. Thank you very much.
