What a great suprise after reading the negative reviews some people had to write. We had great rooms, Yes there was a smell of the ocean but where were we staying? (on the beach ) The rooms were as clean as we would allow the maids in. The food was always ready for you at one of the many places to eat, and wait staff was always ready to help. The personel at check in (Nadim and Marissa) were a great help always, all you had to do was ask. And then there was Alex, What a great person as well as a bartender, he was always ready to help with anything, And can he make drinks. We stayed there from 08/31/04 till 09/05/04 and came home looking for a return trip as soon as possible. ( Tipping the staff helps alot )

The Blue Bay Club is great. It was clean, pretty and suitable for all ages. It has 3 resturants, so there's plenty to eat all the time and the pool and beach are good too. Each night there was different entertainment and the staff work really hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. It rained for 3 days solid while we were there and they always had something for us to do. You can use all the facilities of the sister hotel (Blue Bay Getaway) which is much bigger with more restaurants and pools. But be warned this is an adult only hotel for a reason! Entertainment can get a tad saucy. It's not everywhere in the complex so you can take it or leave it and we really enjoyed the Italian restaurant they have.
Cancun in general is a great place. Lovely beaches, very very hot weather and friendly people. As two girls visiting the area we found the attention a bit too much on some occassions but the area always felt very safe. Definately go to Chichen Itza but take plently of bug spray. Go clubbing in Coco Bongo's, it's mad!! Swim with the dolphins and go snorkling.

Me and my wife have just returned from BBC 06/08/2004 -21/08/2004.

We can highly recomend this resort for families and couples wanting a quality resort outside the hotel zone`s hustle and bustle. We didnt want to come home.

You can have the best of both worlds at BBC.
In the day time there are games and activities around the pool which are great for the children.
you can sunbath on the decking or really relax on the beach. There is also some shade in the pool and around the bar if you get too hot.
Breakfast is very good which is served until 11.30am.(this is handy if you had to many cocktails the night before.)
Dont worry about the seaweed on the beach, its tidyed up every day and is really not a problem its nothing. The beach is being improved and made bigger which looks really good.
The work was not a problem and sometimes quiet interesting to watch.

There are no ques, you can allways get a clean towel and sunbed.
The resort is very clean and our room was very nice which was cleaned every day with fresh towels left.(most times as romantic swans)

The food is good and varied
There is allways something for everyone.
The themed restruants are also very good.( I recomend the fryed ice cream in the Chineese)

At night time the lobby bar comes alive which is good fun. The staff are very nice and work so hard.(genuine friendly and do everything to make your holiday the best).
You can also sit outside drink and dine in quiet which is very romantic until 1am.
Courtousy buses from the night clubs also run from the hotel around 11.30pm.

There is a free bus which takes you to the sister resort every hour where you can use all there restruants and bars. (stops at 10.30pm)
BBG is more for groups of young guys and girls who wish to party.(Also of the same good quality to BBC)
Dont believe all the rumours its all tounge in cheek
just a lot louder and bigger.

A bus will take you to the main hotel and party zone for 6 pesos which runs very well. (R1 and R13)
taxis are also very cheap but agree a price before you get in.
Its best to ask the doorman for a taxi at the hotels
they help agree the correct price.
eg. BBC to isla plaza past hotel zone 150 pesos

We enjoyed the pirate steak and lobster dinner cruise exscursion. Pirate show, games ,dinner ,and disco.

The BBC staff are brilliant here and work very hard
please give them a tip when you leave.

Just returned from Cancan last night. Me and my family of 5 stayed at the Blue Bay Club. We had a great time. My wife and I where able to enjoy the dinner at the Blue Bay Getaway and also had a massage at the Getaway. The activity staff was fantastic. They tried to make sure everyone was involved and having a great time.

The food was ok. Breakfast was great. The other meals, where ok, but you had options for lunch and dinner. I would recommend the Ostrs and Oysters Resturant (on site at the BBC).

Our only complaint was that we where bitten by mosquitos (lots of bites) so make sure you bring lots of insect replent.
