I read reviews for a month before our trip to Temptations, and I wasn't really sure what to expect. My husband and I were there for a week, and we had a good relaxing time. We are in our 20's, not big drinkers, and wanting a relaxing vacation. I will just go over a few things from the resort.
Check-in was fine. They gave me and my husband a room with double beds, which I thought was odd since obviously we are a married couple, so be sure you specify double or king beds. They changed our room to a king room with no problem. Also, be sure the price they are going to charge you for all-inclusive is the price you were quoted when you made reservations. Ours wasn't, but it was later fixed.
We did the time-share presentation, and it wasn't bad. Never take the first deal because by the time we were ready to leave, they had cut the price down considerably. We received $75 for the tour. It took 2 hours, but part of that time was during breakfast. Also, beware because they try to get you drunk while doing the presentation.
The food was good. I really liked the all-inclusive thing because you don't have to worry about cooking or finding anything to eat. the buffett was good with a wide variety of foods. My husband is picky, but he always found something. The waiters were very attentive. We ate at the Italian, Seafood, and Asian restaurants. Waiting in line for reservations is crazy. My advice is to take a book and be in line by 9:30. If not, you will be in-line for an hour. Also, be aware of the dress codes for the restaurants. The asian restaurant has a no-sandals rule. My husband and I went there for our anniversary, so I had on a nice dress and glittery sandals. The guy would not seat me until I hade on shoes that weren't sandals, so I had to wear my sneakers with my dress. it was so dumb because at the next table were ladies with very casual outfits and sneakers. Just be sure your shoes have a heel or wear your sneakers.
I had a 50 minute massage that was wonderful. I highly recommend the spa.
We also took the day trip to Isle Mujures. It was awesome!!! I highly recommend it. The catamaran was relaxing, and the tour guides were wonderful. it includes lunch. if you are going to Temptations through RCI, you will get this trip for free. if not, i think it is just $49 per person and it is so worth it.
We mostly stayed at the quiet pool. It was very calm over there. Women still go topless there (women who soooo shouldn't go topless), but it's not a big deal.
Overall, it was a relaxing trip. I do recommend the place. Everyone, including the staff and the guests, was very nice. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
