I only had one problem with the hotel and that was the water pressure in the shower. It just dripped down, but I wrapped a towel over it. It was decent enough. I loved the pool. One of the main reasons I wanted to stay here.

One more thing I didn't really like was the location. It was a little further and not really in the hotel zone. Nothing a bus ride can't help, but it did get quite annoying after a long day of activities.

I don't know why people complained about the food. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Granted it was a five star meal, but it sure was good especially if you book the all inclusive plan. You can eat as much as you want. I even ordered food to take upstairs for later to snack on.

Granted the two bars were never opened, but the waiters definitely made up for it. They would greet me and ask if I wanted anything. It is quiet and peaceful.

They do play house/ techno music at night with lights around the pool which was nice. Enjoy a drink at pool side. Also had a decent lounge by the restaurant.

I had an awesome time at this place, and for the price, sure why not? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT BEING OVERPRICED! If you want outstanding, then stay at a five star hotel.

I LOVED IT HERE! oh yeah for breakfast, you must try the enchiladas. ooooohhhhhhh so freaking good.

We stayed at the hotel for one night, the room is not so clean, and i think it is overpriced for the quality of the hotel.

July 29th 2008 - We just arrived home from 7 days of all inclusive at the Oasis America. The hotel has seen better days; the room was the best thing about the holiday.

BARS: There are three, but only one was open. The swim up bar never opened neither did the one sports bar, ever !.

FOOD: There is a sit down restaurant, and a sushi bar, the first day we had a little salad bar at the restaurant, but from then nothing. You get a choice of 6 dinner’s specials and the menu never changed, that’s it. Oh and the sushi bar never opened.

AIR CONDITIONING: The room was nice and cool, no complaints, but the inside restaurant and the bar had no air conditioning, and the lobby was a sauna

BEACH CLUB: This was nice; the beach club was at the Oasis Palm Beach. The hotel was nice and the food choices were great. However the shuttle runs at 10:30 am to get there and at 5 pm to come back. There are only 9 spots, and if you are not one of the chosen ones, you must find your own way there and back. It should be every few hours

Over all this hotel was a bad choice, I understand it was not a busy time for the hotel, but we paid good money for this vacation and the hotel should have had most of their facilities open. Oh and there is no activities as listed, and no gift shop.

WHAT WAS NEVER OPEN THAT WAS LISTED ON TRAVEL SITE: Sushi bar, sports bar, gift shop, swim up bar, activities, nightly entertainment.

We asked 4 times to move to another Oasis Hotel to pay money and upgrade, and were told "NO" by two different front desk clerks, the concierge at our hotel, and the front desk and concierge at the Oasis Palm Beach.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! We arrived in mid-August and expected to wait in line until 3pm in a lobby with no a/c as so many previous guests have stated. Granted there was no a/c but when we arrived at 1:45 we were able to check in immediately. The hotel is very eco friendly and only had a/c in the rooms which was fine by me. We are trying to do our part to conserve energy.

The room itself was very clean, equipped with all the standard amenities (hairdryer, iron, ironing board, plenty of storage space and a coffee maker etc. - but bring your own coffee as it is not provided in the room). Their were nice towel animals made for us everyday. The cleaning staff insisted on leaving hand towels instead of wash cloths the first two days and our balcony door would not lock (no biggie on the 5th floor). Other than that, we have absolutely no complaints. We paid for internet the first day but soon found that our wireless laptop could pick up several free signals.

We found very quickly that those who speak Spanish reaped the benefits from the staff. Many people have made the comment that the staff spoke very little English. Wake up people! You are in a spanish speaking country....at least make an attempt at it. The staff are delighted when you do. They had learned our names by the end of the first evening, the staff in the formal restaurant knew precisely what our favorite beverages were for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The all-inclusive meals and drinks were amazing! We had Filet Mignon two nights in a row and it was cooked to perfection!!!!!!!! The alcoholic beverages were made just right with a nice balance of flavor and liquor. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a nice variety daily. The restaurant was never crowded and it had a beautiful view of the pool and grounds.

For those that enjoy being in the heart of downtown Cancun, this hotel is it. We hopped the local bus, 1 block east of the hotel for 65 cents pp (US dollars are OK) and rode the entire length of the hotel zone. Hotwire gave this hotel a rating of 3 stars - I would have given it 4 stars. Not only were we pleased with the service but the price was perfect.

Spring Breakers - A word of advice - this is not the hotel for you! IIf you are looking for a party atmosphere with nonstop drinking, check out the Oasis Beach or Oasis Cancun. I am in my mid 30s and found this hotel very relaxing and peaceful. At the first sign of trouble, the staff/door guards spring to action to dissolve any noisy crowds, rough-housing, drunken or inappropriate behaviour. As a single parent, my child and I felt very safe at all times.

Keep in mind that this location is downtown and no beach is nearby but the pool was excellent with the swim up bar & grill and outdoor movie theater. There is a daily shuttle to the sister hotels in the hotel/beach zone but they all had massive crowds of people. There were numerous restaurants and bars but there were people everywhere and had long wait lines at all of them. I much prefer the downtown location to the ones located in the hotel zone because of the service, the size and the serenity.

When we return to Cancun, this is exactly where we will be staying. I have had some horrible experiences with Hotwire hotels but this one was a gem. Thank you for a great stay!

We found a last minute trip.Due to a tight budget we found this to be a clean and inviting hotel ( we had two double beds and a Belcony). There was security there. It had a nice pool off the restaraunt . The court yard was neat well groomed and beautiful, it was cozy and private. Many out door beds and chairs. Staff were very helpfull, at times struggled in their English but they tried .
There was one restaurant there. The food was always good. For a week the choices were good but if a longer stay, and you did not eat at a sister hotel they might get redundent.
We had sister hotels on the beach with full access. We could go there either by shuttle or walk a short distance and take a bus for the two of us it cost $1.30 us to go wherever we wanted on the hotel strip. We had many options for a restaurant there and the food was great. A Banamex was right across the street.
On a budget we were thankful for the Experience in Cancun and loved the week it was a month short.
We snorkeled and did lots of touring. Thanks to you at Oasis America we are grateful to the hospitality.
