Stayed the weekend of Jan 12 to 19 2007. Well where do I begin. This place by any means is NOT A RESORT, plan and simple it's a HOTEL. If anyone pays more then 1000$ including taxes PLEASE listen to my advise and spend a few hundred more at a nice RESORT. If you find a deal under 900$ and don't care to have a beach at your footstep or sun after 3pm because thats when the sun is blocked by the side of the hotel then by all means stay here. Ok try to break it down for you.
Beach that's a laugh this place dosen't have one. You have to get up by 8am register for the shuttle bus that comes picks you up takes you down to Oasis Cancun. It's nice that you have all access to the food their and drinks. The sad part is you realise that you can't sleep here and have to return to your HOTEL.
Staff was freindly nice people.
The pool was small cold, not many people ever went in manly because they went to Oasis Cancun beach.
Food was good, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner same food everyday they really like to recycle the food here.
Rooms were nice clean looking but they never changed my sheets. I know this because I read a review of someone putting a few drops of fruit puinch on the end of the sheets so I did the same and it was still their 7 days later. I never tiped the maid because of this.
Alright I read a review that was saying this place is close to the Bulldog Cafe, WOW WAY OFF, maybe if I stayed at the Oasis Cancun. Here the only club that is close by like 10 minutes is LaBoom. You have to release that this place is located in the OLD downtown Cancun. The area where all the fun clubs are is about a 20 to 30 minute bus ride durning the week, weekend is a little better. I say it takes that long because anyone leaving to go to the nightlife ususally leaves around 8pm and here is the problem. Oais America is surrounded by 90% locals that live in this area or work in this area which means buses are always full. I was waiting 15 minutes some nights just to get a bus to stop. Why didn't I get a taxi you might say, well that's a laugh taxi cabs all hang out where the clubs are obviously that's where everyone is. I found the reason why the buses were so full is beacuse the locals are either going to work or coming back from work.
I love Cancun had a great time at the clubs some of the best experiences of my life. The club life if you are that kind of peron is out of this world you almost think you were dreaming going to some of these places. To list a few The City by far the biggest and best club there, Coco Bongo's great place to pick up Cougars and Senior Frogs. Best place to go durning the day is Fat Tuesdays great place to go have fun, join in on some drinking games it's a blast.
I should have paid 200$ more which would have been around 1300$ taxes in and stayed at Oasis Grand where you actually have access to the beach and you have the Sun all day until it sets. Last Oasis Grand has a FREE shuttle bus that takes you to a different club everynight of the week.
In Conclusion if you want to stay at a 3 star HOTEL stay here if you want to stay at a RESORT pay the few bucks more it's well worth it. Hope I was of help to those party people out there.

I have to totally disagreeeeeee with his review....

Perhaps his review would be helpful had he took the time to truly experience the resort (rather than going out all the time) and by purchasing the all inclusive, rather than paying for meals

My age range for my group was 26 - 33 and we didnt know what to expect at this resort....

I was the one who booked the trip after reading several several reviews..... some very negative, but I am glad i didnt listen to them

I should mention that i have been to cancun before only 6 months ago and stayed at Dreams Resort all inclusive and this time , I chose to stay at a less expensive place and had a far better time.... Dreams you are stuck to just dreams..... Oasis You have so much options

One thing people dont realize is that you can go to any of the other Oasis... At times i felt guilty that I am getting use of the same facilities , resturaunts, and beaches as some of these other hotels guest who spent Thousands to be there!

Oasis palm beach had the best seafoood I ever experienced and the beach was so calm that you can jump of the pier and swim back to the beach with no problem ...

Grand Oasis - was the most fanciest hotel I ever seen and the atrium had a rainforest in the middle of the hotel

Oasis Cancun - had the nicest beach where the waves was a ton of fun

I enjoyed these three Oasis so much that I didnt even bother trying the other two

NOW back to OASIS AMERICA

They had a club/lounge with beds inside the hotel that was unbelievable

I was in shock ....

at times we had the entire lounge to ourselves, and there was
a huge projection screen showing some relaxing stuff while we sipped on our all inclusive drinks

The bar tender Would gladly offer us tequilla at every chance he could and would take shots right with us

(this is a plus for those who like to pre game before going out to the nightlife)

The pool was never crowded and I think of all the 7 days , we only had to share the pool with others twice

we would have a drink and swim at night , and in the day time

the beds out in the sun were perfect to catch a tan

If you can get an all inclusive at oasis america

YOU WONT REGRET IT .... especially if you take advantage of all the OASIS CHAIN!

We just got back from staying in Oasis America, Cancun. We paid about $750 USD, room only, for 7 nights by booking thru Cancunfirstclass.com. For what we paid during peak, it was decent and clean hotel. It is located in downtown, and the hotel zone and all the beaches are just a 6.50 Peso bus ride away. It is also very close to a Mexican super market called Cheraui, which was very helpful for us. The front desk people are okay but not really a wealth of info and most of them could not speak English. The lights were out in the hallways for most of our stay. The elevator did not work the day we were checking out and was a pain, getting the luggage down 5 flights of stairs. We were glad we did not get the all inclusive at this hotel, because all you want to do at this hotel is come back to sleep! We took a lot of excursions for Xcaret, Xel-ha, CC-Itza, etc, so we were barely there, thankfully. Do not ask the bell-hop to hail a cab for you! It will cost you 20 Pesos extra, because of the inside deal these guys have with cab drivers. Negotiate the cab fare yourself. Overall, I guess it was cheap, safe and clean. It worked for us, but If we were to do it again, we would stay at an all inclusive resort in the hotel zone.

My friend and I just returned from this hotel, and after reading all of the negative comments were extremely nervous about what we would find when we arrived. I have to tell you, it was EXCEPTIONAL. The hotel itself is beautiful and the service there was better than its sister hotel, Oasis Cancun. Oasis America's employees were attentive and helpful. The employees were never rude and always had a smile. Kenny, Manuel, Erick, Jamarillo were all EXCELLENT. The rooms were very clean, and cleaned every day. There was no mold anywhere.

The food was delicious, as were the drinks. Manuel came up with some interesting, but yummy drinks! As for the pool, it was cleaned everymorning and not overly crowded like the other pools. If you are interested in going to the beach, it takes about 10 minutes to get to Oasis Cancun and costs 6.50 pesos, which is like 65 american cents. You have to get a daypass that is valid from 8 am to 8pm. There's also always taxi's available and more than willing to drive you to where you need to go.

This hotel is in downtown Cancun and gives you a wonderful taste of their culture. It isn't any worse than it is in most american cities' downtowns. It was safe, there are police everywhere, even in the hotel zone.

This hotel is close to everything, even where all the clubs are. We went to Corona's and the Bulldog Cafe. Both have excellent service and you pay a fee for open bar, which is great. The Bulldog was a fun place to go, it had great people and the service was excellent.

Again, I would just like to say that this is an excellent place to be for the money. I will definately be going back again. The people that have complained about this hotel were probably the ones that we saw being rude to everyone when they were being picky and didn't take the time to respect the Mexican culture or there people. I highly recommend people to visit this hotel, you will love it!
