I don't know where to begin. I arrived in cancun with a group of 13. Five of us were to stay here at the Canaun Marina Club, and the other eight stayed at a different hotel a half hour walk away. The four plus myself that were to stay here arrived to be shocked at the room we were to reside in for the week. The room itself had only two twin size beds to accomadate five of us. The beds also had unclean sheets made up on them. The towels were stained and you had to ask for clean towels everyday due to a lack of maid service to the rooms. The floor was dirty with grime and whatever else, you couldn't walk around without flip flops on. The cieling and walls were falling down around the place and the entire room had a damp feeling of a basement. Of course that might be because it was in the basement. In the bathroom we found there to be no shower curtain and we brought this to the attention of the front desk. We finally got a shower curtain after being there four days. Whenever someone would flush the toilet it would run until you fixed the "flipper" inside the toilet. We also told the front desk about this, and nothing was done. This is the type of customer service you will get at this hotel. The staff is rude and obnoxious and this includes the manager. Luckily for the five of us there was the other hotel down the street where the rest of our group was staying. None of us even stayed one night here at the cancun marina club due to the horrible living conditions. When you arrive you have to give a deposit of $50 U.S dollars per person staying in the room. Four of us gave our deposit in $50 U.S dollars and one of us $60 U.S dollars totaling $260 U.S dollars. We were told we would get the deposit back at the end of our stay. Our stay came to an end and we went to check out at 5am and were waiting for the deposit. We were told that the manager was the only one who had a key to the deposit box and he was running late and would be there in ten minutes. Keep in mind that he was supposed to be in at 5am specifically for check outs. We waited for forty-five minutes for the manager and he still had not arrived. Our shuttle had to leave for the airport, so in order to make our flight home we had to leave empty handed of our deposit. Due to us not getting our deposit back this hotel not only steels from within the room it self but right from your own hands when you arrive. My recommendation to spring breakers and anyone else is to stay anywhwere else but her at Cancun Marina Club. If I were you I would stay at Ocean Club where the five of us ended up every night.
