We went Feb 21-28, 09 through an RCI exchange, 2 adults, 3 kids. The two bedroom unit is HUGE! Two floors, 3 baths, really nice. The resort is small when compared to others we've stayed at but nice/clean. Nice sand, clear clean water, hammocks, nice pool. The boat to Royal (sister hotel) great. Breakfast great. We declined the timeshare thing, no one bothered us about it, not once. The sunset is amazing from the beach snack shack, we watched it almost every nite with a cocktail. We preferred this location with kids because the ocean at the ocean resorts is so rough and windy and in shadow by 3pm. At Sunset Lagoon, it is full sun until sunset. The water is calm and you can wade out and see small fish and starfish, plus the kayaks and sailboat. The staff is great. There is a small playground. We did tire of the dinner and we broke that up by going out a once or twice, although they did have two special dinners with a show on the beach our week. They also had room service and I think they had some set-up with local restaurants although we never checked into that. The beach snack shack and bar had good food and drinks. We tipped everyone, bring a stack of 1. bills, it goes a long way. There was a girl there who played with the kids, Nelly, very nice, kept our kids happy. The whole place is not that big so you can see your kids the whole time. The pirate excursion down the road is AWESOME, although costly. But worth it if you can do it. The shuttle worked well, and we also always feel safe to use the bus to go somewhere else if we want. Don't be fooled when you pull-up (the entrance is not much to see), inside is lovely. The outdoor walkway to the rooms makes you feel like you are in Greece... white stucco, round stairs, everything is marble and granite... Hope this helps... Also I used the spa twice for a massage, fantastic!!! Go, enjoy!
