Arriving at the hotel, they carried our bags to the front desk for check in, and checking in was a breeze. I was there with a 6 girls for a friend's bachelorette party, we requested 2 rooms with 2 beds each, close to each other, with an ocean view. They were able to provide us with this no problem!

The rooms were clean, they are by no means 5 star rooms, but we had no problem with them at all.. very clean. The pool area was great, lots of fun activities, music and of course the bar. All of the bars were great! Tipping well really makes a difference. We usually tipped a dollar or so every few drinks. They got whatever drink you asked for and usually even more than you asked for, they poured us shots left and right, we didnt even need to ask for them!

The bartenders/staff were AWESOME! Everyone was so friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need, and were there to make sure you had a great time. I have never stayed in a hotel that had such amazing staff.

The food was good, the buffet was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Usually a pretty good variety. The snack bar opened at 11am, but I am not sure how long they were open. You could get got dogs, hamburgers, fries, nachos from there. There are 2 resturants: an Italian and a Medeterranian. They are only open on certian days, and you must make a reservation for the Medeterranian (they fill up very quickly!).

Overall our stay was awesome, mostly due to the awesome staff! I would def reccomend this hotel to anyone looking to have a great time in Cancun!

The staff was amazing, they are always there to help.. The Bartender Alonso was by far the sweetest guy there!! They work hard, and do not expect tips, however, once we gave tips they reallllly took care of you even more.. The food was delicious.. we only ate at Little Italy once, and had the pasta, and it was delicious. The buffet had diff theme every night & each night it was delicious, and something new. This was by far the best vacation i've ever been on & if you go out with the hotel to the clubs, it is still the same price, but you get VIP service & table service, which was super nice.

it didnt cost alot of money for my holiday so all i wanted was clean hotel friendly faces and lots of sun. so, on arrival i thought the hotel looked a bit rough. yes they tried the hotel insurance on us as well but i just told them we already had ours so there was no problem but our friends got caught and they tried to get it back but they were just passed from one person to another. you dont get to go to your room when you get there you get a chat about different things like excursions, buses, taxi, places to go, but if your over 30 they are going to hit you with the 'TIME SHARES' big mistake ive heard about these they will waste one whole day on you at a differnet hotel this is 'HIGH PRESSURE'. then the rooms, we were in the 1st block 4th floor the block did seem clean but when we got off the lift the first thing that hit me was the terrible smell of damp, now dont get me wrong im not fussy ive been on holiday before and if the room smells and looks clean then im happy anything more im exstatic ok. so the room did look clean beds, floors, shower, toilet. there is a green ring around the pool, i was also told not to pay a deposit for the safety deposit box because they have been known not to give you all the money back. before i left i did notice a small white bug in alot of numbers, not sure what they were they all over the wall above the headboard of the bed also some in the living area. i can say that really the only two things that really upset me was the smell and the bugs. there was alot of people who we spoke to had no problem with this hotel or the smell in the rooms they did encounter this because i asked. but the good things do outweigh the bad so overall i had a great time i just had to forget the few things that had upset me. the staff are really friendly, the rooms are cleaned everyday, drinks are fine had no problem lot of cocktails. food was lovely couldnt complain. toilets beside the reception not good the ones beside the pool are fine. our 'rep' offered us excursions but i recommend everyone shops around he wanted 10,100 pesofor three of them 'tungle tour, xcereta, lobster ship' we got the same with the guy down beside the pool for 7,250peso big difference. I recommend that you also get most of your presents if not all of them at the 'flea market' big big difference to the shops and you can bargin all you have to do is let on your leaving, as many times as you want, they keep comming down in price to less than half of what they wanted at the start. watch the girls in the bars with 'free shots' and there whistle cause there not free. there is airport tax when leaving the country try to get this included in your ticket. everything outside of the room and our block was great would go back but to a different hotel. sorry.

Hi,
The only thing I would add to the last review is that the front desk "MAY" try to sell you what they call a "mandatory" insurance policy for when you are "OFF" the hotel property. PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THIS! They tried it on my wife and I and we almost fell for it because we were pretty tired.
It will be be between $21-$31 per couple depending on whether they think they can snag you, or not. The best way to handle this if they try is to tell them you are already covered, or show them your health card and tell them you are covered world wide. While I didn't really look at the fine print, it probably doesn't really cover you for much, or anything (but I could be wrong) They will try to scare you by making you sign a waiver. When we queried some of the other guests we met, we guess they probably scammed over half the guests and they are profiling for non seasoned travelers.

BTW, Excellent workers they,,, Exceptionally notable are; Gabriel, Freddy, Archimedes, Martin, and Gustavo.

My husband and I are frequent travelers. We go on vacations, usually 3 times a year. We have stayed at 4-5 star resorts most of the time. We took a chance on this trip because for 8 days we paid 1400.00 including air fare. Cancun is like a ghost town. There were maybe 75 people at the hotel. We found the service to be 4-5 star each day. The food is plentiful and good. Two specialty restaurants were just okay. The beach is beautiful, raked daily and very clean, plenty of chairs, not too many umbrellas though. The pool is old, but does have a swim up bar with excellent service. Alcohol is not top shelf stuff, but it was fine. The bar tenders would make you anything you wanted. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily. Plenty of hot water, plenty of towels. Air conditioning was not great, but we kept our windows open and had a great breeze. No insects of any kind the entire time. We took a ferry trip to the isla mujures one day. We were the only ones on the ferry. We stayed at a local beach to watch the culture, then ate at a fish shack. Great experience. Mexican people are very friendly.
In conclusion, great time to travel to cancun, no people, great prices. I would go back to this hotel again. Not sure if the service would be 5 star if the hotel was full.
