Let me start by thanking all those who have written about this hotel. We checked this sight diligently prior to our stay.

We loved our stay at Le Blanc. We have stayed at two other Adult only Palace Resorts (Aventura Spa Palace and the Sun Palace). Since we enjoyed those so much, we wanted to upgrade to Le Blanc.

When we first arrived at the resort, it was very rainy due to the Tropical Storm. We were greeted with coconut milk and sat down with at one of the reception desks to check-in. Unfortunately, they had our reservation wrong. We paid for a Royal Honeymoon and they tried to give us a Deluxe. We explained that was unacceptable. Luckily, we brought a copy of our reservation details. They made a copy of it and put us in the appropriate room class. (Tip: Make sure you bring copies of your documents.)

Our room wasn't ready so we went to the buffet for lunch. This buffet was better than at the other Palace resorts we have visited. By the time we finished lunch, our room was ready and they took us up to met our butler and get into the room. Although the butler was supposed to be an added benefit, we found that they were often gone. Even when we tried calling, they often didn't answer. Granted, we wouldn't have gotten much use out of the butler anyway, but it would have been nice to see them at the desk more often.

We had an ocean view room on the 7th floor and the view was great!! Since the jacuzzi was so close to the window, it was great to take relaxing soak after a long day at the beach. We often enjoyed the snacks that are refilled every 24 hours.

The resort itself is beautifully decorated with a very serene decor. It also has a nice relaxing spa-like scent. The main pool on the lobby level is exquisite with iridescent blue tiles. There are chairs in the pool as well as by the edges. We never had an issue finding a place to sit. After you choose a seat, someone comes by immediately to see it you need anything. My favorite thing was that they would bring a Champaign bucket filled with ice to either the beach or the pool to keep your water nice a cold. They also come around with cold, scented wash clothes on occasion. Those were great on a hot day! They will also move the umbrellas around to suit your needs.

Spa - We received two free 25 minutes messages with our stay. Make sure to show up an hour early to take advantage of all the additional spa areas! The aromatherapy steam room was great! Since we enjoyed our first treatments so much, we signed up for more. I had the Egyptian Sun Wrap that was great. My husband got the 80-minute Four Elements message. The spa was an amazing experience!

Food - One of the biggest differences vs. the other Palace Resorts was that at Le Blanc you can eat a la carte meals for every meal. The a la carte breakfast was very good. I was able to get eggs benedict everyday! (Tip: The a la carte breakfast and lunch are at The Terrace restaurant. This particular restaurant can move depending on the weather; so if you can't find it, just ask. It was by the pool in the back for a couple of days during our visit.)

Initially, we thought Le Blanc was the same as the other Palace Resorts but the little things made such a difference! No towel cards, ice buckets, a la carte meals it all added up to a great vacation experience!

My fiance and I stayed at Le Blanc from 5/19 - 5/23. I have never wished to return to a resort as quickly as Le Blanc. The service is beyond words. They are the friendliest people we have ever encountered in our travels. They go above and beyond your expectations when it comes to service. The food was delicious and the drinks were never light on the alcohol.

We stayed in room 805 which is a honeymoon ocean view suite. Gorgeous view and the jacuzzi is right in front of the terrace door. You can jacuzzi in the morning and take in the sounds of the waves as you watch them come crashing on shore.

The room was very clean and we loved the nightly turn down service. Delicious chocolates are left by the jacuzzi and then there's the "good night" channel left on your TV.

Room service was amazing. They actually called us 3 minutes after our food arrived to make sure everything that we ordered was there and to make sure we were happy with the service. How could we not be happy ?

It is a very relaxing atmosphere at this hotel. We only stayed 4 nights and we've never been so relaxed and refreshed after a vacation. This resort has something special to offer.

We loved it so much that we are definitely returning next May for our honeymoon. We can't imagine going anywhere else and having it be better than Le Blanc.

Our compliments to the management at this resort. They really put a lot of thought and planning into how to make a wonderful vacation.

“Fabulous--4.5”

Le Blanc Spa Resort

I wish I could rate this resort 4.5 instead of a full 5.

We have extensive travel experience with all-inclusives and this was by far the best we've experienced. We were not disappointed.

What we loved:

The property is absolutely gorgeous, with maximized views of both the sea and lagoon. Kudos to the designers. There is so much beautiful stone everywhere you look, and you can even purchase the white onyx candle holders in the giftshop. The interior decor is lovely, with interesting art displayed unobtrusively. The location is great, so we were able to walk to shopping and for lunch at Carlos and Charlies one day. (We never miss a chance for Carlos and Charlies.)

The service was beyond compare. Top notch, proper and appropriate. We were known by name and table preferences. We never lacked anything. If one washcloth was used, or one item was taken from the mini bar, it was replaced by the time we returned to the room, even if we were only out for an hour. Our room was cleaned literally every time we left it. Our 5th floor Butler, Juan, was AMAZING.

There were always chairs at the pool and the pristine beach, and within 30 seconds of arriving, we were provided with a fresh beach towel and our choice of drinks and snacks. There was even a lady bringing around cold scented towels on a silver tray ever so often.

The Jungle tour was awesome. Well worth the three hours. They provided us with brand new snorkels that we were able to keep as a memento.

The Dolphin swim at Wet and Wild was wonderful. Tip: transfer to the park is included, but you have to pay for transportation back when you're ready to leave the park. The lot is filled with Taxis that will take you back for US$20. Expensive, yes, but quick and easy.

THE FOOD

Okay, this is a very subjective matter, and I want to be objective about it, to the extent possible. I'm not going to comment on whether or not we particularly "liked" certain dishes, because I don't think that's fair to an international resort. You can't order a dish in Mexico and expect it to taste like it does in America. That doens't mean the quality is poor or the chef is unskilled.

We never had a single thing that wasn't cooked properly or freshly prepared. The ingredients were always high quality. Fresh fruits were abundant.

At breakfast, there was always a juice of the day (a mixture of freshly squeezed juices) in addition to freshly squeezed citrus juices and carrot juice. There was also a huge selection of fresh breads and pastries. The coffee is on the weak side, but you only need ask for a fresh cappuccino. There is also a wide selection of fine teas readily available.

If you are NOT a raw sushi eater, you need to make that known the moment you are seated at the Oriental restaurant. They bring out a large platter of beautiful fresh raw items without asking you. We don't eat sushi, so we felt bad seeing it go to waste. They can't re-serve it once it has been left on your table.

The wine list was very adequate, and we also enjoyed a glass of champagne in the lobby nearly every night prior to dinner. Heaven! We had mixed drinks only once or twice, and they were very good.

Deserts leaned heavily towards French persuasion, even those considered Italian or American.

THE BEACH

Beautiful sand and water, semi-private and accommodating service. Most days the water was too rough for swimming, but not everyday. We're used to the serene waters of Jamaica and Palm Beach in Aruba. Cancun has WAVES. During our stay it was not unusual to see six-footers throughout the day. Caution: topless sunbathing and g-string swimsuits are allowed, so if this offends you, bring your blinders.

My only small complaints:

Our room thermostat was governed not to go below 22 Celcius (it would go up, but not down any more). That is not cool enough for our taste. We possibly could have asked the butler to "unlock" it so it could go lower, but we didn't bother.

The housekeeping staff was very, very diligent and discreet. However, I am insanely anal about cleanliness. The two bedside rugs had some prominent dirt stains on them. I peeked into a couple of rooms being cleaned, and saw that the rugs (jute with cotton borders) were being swept off with a nylon broom. That's not enough in my opinion. Also, our closet had a few stray hairs in the bottom, as if it didn't get swept out before our stay.

Some of the bed linens had a worn appearance, to the point of being noticeable. They should have been replaced before now. The bottom sheet was nowhere near top quality. It was somewhat scratchy.

Terrycloth slippers are provided, but during turn down service they would slide one slipper inside the other, resulting in one slipper getting dirty inside. I resorted to hiding my slippers so they couldn't do that. (See, I told you I'm anal.)

All in all, we surely got our money's worth, and had a fabulous 10 year anniversary at Le Blanc. If we return to Cancun we will definitely stay there again!! LOVED IT.

My husband and I just came back from a week at LeBlanc and had a terrific time. This was the first time we had traveled to Mexico and we had our hesitations based on some of the stories others had to tell of their trips to the country, but LeBlanc was first class all the way! The resort obviously tries to think of every possible need of their guest and meets it before the request even occurs to you. The decor is all cream and white marble and glass, with soft fabrics and floor to ceiling windows to take advantage of the gorgeous ocean views. There are two infinity edge pools and lots of palm trees that just make the place postcard beautiful. Everything is meticulously maintained at all times, so much so, that the pictures that I took look as good as the pictures on the LeBlanc website! The food was delicious and there was an amazing variety, even at breakfast. The highlight was definately the 7 course dinner with the wine pairings, but all of the restaurants were outstanding in their own right. We had one meal out during the tour of the Tulum ruins, and we found out quickly how much higher caliber the dining was at LeBlanc from even another of the Royal resorts. Staying at LeBlanc was more expensive than most, but in our eyes you definately get what you pay for in this case. Also, if you don't mind the cost, splurge and treat yourself to some spa treatments. The Vitamin C Facial was Amazing! The spa pampering was also well worth the money.

I can not tell you how much we LOVED this place. The decor is amazing and so soothing, I felt like I was in the spa the whole time. The rooms are nice, clean and our honeymoon suite was RIGHT in front of the ocean.

From the minute you walk into the hotel lobby they make you feel welcome. The service and the food are amazing. We really loved the green curry dish (sub shrimp for chicken) in the BlancOriental restaurant and the lunch and breakfast buffets were delicious.

If you are on your honeymoon they give you a nice romantic dinner (no addtl charge) right by the water and it's 5 courses. But if you aren't on your honeymoon- eat at BlancTerrace- they have a sax player who plays while you are served a 7 course dinner with a wine flight - this is not your ordinary all inclusive!

The Spa is perfect. A little expensive but worth every penny. I recommend the holistic massage.

You can lay at the pool, having your drinks brought to you, a champagne bucket next to you with ice and water bottles, and a ridiculous view of the infinity pool.

The nightlife is a little weak but that's because everyone goes out into Cancun- that wasn't really what we were looking for.

I really can't express how great the service was and how beautiful the property was we can't wait to return!!!
