My husband and I spent 6 amazing days ( June 27- July 2) at this wonderful all inclusive resort. I can say, without any hesitation, that this is the best resort we have ever stayed at! The service we received here was impecable. We met the nicest people ever who made our stay unforgetable( Edgar and Edgar, Jesus, Lucienda, Issac, Mario, Denise, Tereasa, Karen, and our special butlers to name a few). The hotel and the grounds are breathtaking with the best beach in Cancun as its background!
Room:
We booked an Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite, 409 with a spectacular view of the beach as well as the main infinity pool. The room had everything we need including a huge jacuzzi, a two person shower complete with body jets, mini bar, mini fridge, snacks, robes, slippers, I could go on and on. We even had our jacuzzi prepared for us 2 nights by our butler. The only negative was there was no true balcony to sit on.
Pools:
The pools are all beautiful with a great breeze all of the time. We spent most our time in the main pool which overlooks the ocean. At any given time it was never crowded. You never had to "fight for a chair" like many other resorts. The pool concierge would take towels for both of us and lay them wherever we wanted as well as set up an umbrella and bring an icebucket for bottled water. Here we were served endless drinks and snacks by the wonderful servers. Whenever we said thank you or if we needed anything it was always "it's my pleasure". Though it was never expected, we tipped. These folks worked very hard to make our stay memorable. In the evening we went to the lagoon pool as the sun sets on this side. After dinner we walked out to the gazebo in the lagoon ( if you are lucky you may see a croccodile) or sat by the pool to have a drink. One evening Edgar fed the iguanas for us while we sipped on one of the MANY cocktails he made for us during our stay. We never used the 2nd floor pool but from what we saw it was nice as well.
Beach:
Amazing!! The color of the water and the white sand was very pretty. The water was too rough for swimming though. But here we were served drinks as well.
Bars:
There were plenty of bars spread around the resort so they were never crowded. We enjoyed the lobby bar the best. Here we met another Edgar and Jesus. Both Edgars and Jesus teamed up and put on a mini magic show...very cool and prepard many amazing drinks for us.
Dining:
- Blancterrace - The 7 course meal was unbelievable! This dining adventure was served at the blancterrace. Each dish was paired with wine. I cannot even remember everything we ate but here is what I can remember: Shrimp, sushi, beef stuffed with lobster, mexican chili, champagne sorbet, chocolates, grouper, salmon, tuna. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos
- Blancorient- Excellent with many choices of sushi and seafood. See photos.
- Blancitalia- Great food with many choices of bread. My husband had a huge steak and I had a shrimp appitizer and the lobster with open ravioli. Say hola to Issac! See photos
-Blancinternational - By far our favorite so we ate here twice. Our fav dish was the chateaubriand ( huge filet of steak) See photos.
Because of the tours we took we did not get to eat lunch or breakfast very often. What we had was incredible though! I had the grouper panini one day and a cheeseburger another(we had to split it it was so big) and my husband had a huge plate of nachos for lunch. And this was all served poolside! Breakfast had a great variety of fruits, eggs, meats, cheeses and so on.
Tours:
A few tours were included in our stay. We went on the Isla Mujeres and the Paradise Snorkeling tours. The Isla Mujeres tour departed at 9:30 and we didn't get back until around 5:30. The first part included a booze cruise to the island (the best part of the trip) and here you could take a taxi to swim with the dolphins, snorkel, scuba dive, or take a tour of the island. I think the only thing included in the free tour was the tour of the island. We decided to stay at the resort on Isla Mujeres and relax. Not a good idea. The resort there was not even close to being as nice as Le Blanc. It was very hot and not much to do but sit at the bar and drink and eat (included) the food here wasn't very good though. We wished we had taken the tour of the island instead of just sitting around. The second part of the trip we got back on the booze boat and went to the downtown area of Isla Mujeres and went shopping. This was fun but very hot and every store seemed to have the same stuff. My adivce would be to just do some shopping in Cancun and you wouldn't have to spend a whole day away from Le Blanc.
The Paradise Snorkeling was just ok as well. We had to leave at 7:45am and didn't get back until 3:30pm. The first part of the
tour we took a catamaran out to the reef and snorkeled for 45 mins. with about 150 other people and then went back and ate(included). Other activities like horseback riding, scuba diving, more snorkeling, jet skiing, driving your own speedboat, parasailing, and massages were offered for a fee. We didn't do any of them so we sat on the beach until it was time to go. We kind of wished we would have just spent these two days at Le Blanc instead of doing the tours.
I apologize for this review being so long but I felt I had to give this resort what it deserves. We try to go to different places when we travel but this will definately be a place we return to many more times!
