This is very late but I thought I should still give a rave about our fantastic trip to Le Blanc last November. We've stayed at a number of all inclusives and always choose a 5 star (Caribbean Standard for All-inclusive).
Service --Of the places we've stayed I have to give Le Blanc hands down 1st place for Service. I have never had so many people seem genuinely pleased to help me in any way. Every request is greeted with a warm "It's a pleasure" and they actually seem to mean it. Best, most well-informed, friendly staff we have ever encountered.
Butler Service -- Available on each floor. Sometimes he was at his desk, others times no, but he was always available by phone and delivered any request promptly and with a smile. I expect when he wasn't at his desk, he was busy delivering special pillows, mini-bar requests, etc. to the other guests on his floor.
Rooms -- Lovely rooms. A bit smaller than some of the other resorts we've stayed at but we had plenty of room, a comfortable bed, a great shower and amazing views from our ocean view suite. I wish they had larger balconies to enjoy, but the European balcony would not deter me from staying here again or recommending this place to friends and family.
Pools -- The infinity pool was beautiful. You really did feel like you were about to swim out into the ocean. Great Views and great swim up bar service. The activities staff greeted us each morning as we walked down to the pool to suggest the best available chairs and set out plenty of towels for us including extra ones to use as head and/or leg pillows. And each time we exited the pool and used our towels, they were replaced with fresh dry ones immediately without request.
Food -- We didn't have a bad meal. We enjoyed all of the restaurants. For all inclusives, it was well above par. Don't expect New York or Chicago 5 star restaurant quality chefs, but the food was fresh, well prepared and quite tasty.
Beach -- The water was beautiful. The beach was a bit narrow, but it was much wider in front of Le Blanc than any other hotel in the area. We walked down the beach to the south and many places had no beach at all. The beach in front of Le Blanc even though narrow was never crowded.
Activities -- They had such a great activities staff. We took the towel art class and the cooking class (ceviche and guacamole). They were great b/c the staff teaching them were great. And these were not big group classes available only at a certain time. We asked about taking a class one afternoon when it started to rain and the response was "What time would you like to start?" The same is true for the gym. We took a Pilates Reformer class and a stretching class. Both were arranged at our convenience and were private lessons. These type of indvidualized inclusions and amazing service is what sets Le Blanc apart from other resorts.
Spa --We went 4 out of our 5 days. Fantastic treatments and a great hydrotherapy room for use before or after your service. We try the spa at every resort we go to and frequent the spas at home as well and I would rank their services and facilities as some of the very best I've experienced.
Location -- We usually stay a little farther away from the action, but I had really wanted to try Le Blanc after reading so many great reviews. It's close enough to the action that we walked down to where all the bars/clubs are every night. We're not really partyers, but it was fun to people watch and then retreat to our luxury resort. We did try the European Bungee which was a blast. It's not one of those spread out tropical resorts. It's a Cancun high rise with beautiful, clean, modern appointments.
In conclusion, if you want to stay close to the action, but in a quiet, romantic luxury resort where you will be treated like royalty -Le Blanc is the place for you.
