WOW!!! We just returned home from Le Blanc Spa Resort and it was by far the best place I have traveled in Cancun, Playa, Cozumel, and the Riviera Maya! The one thing that seperates Le Blanc from others is their impecable customer service. They have it down. You definitely get the feeling as soon as you walk in the door that their only goal in life is to make sure you are completely taken care of. This was throughout the 5 day trip. As soon as we stepped out of our cab we were greeted by Le Blanc staff offering us a wet towel for our hands and their signature beverage, a silky white coconut drink...yummy! Our bags were in our rooms immediately, no waiting around wondering when I was going to get to put my swimsuit on. Each floor of the hotel has a butler designated to that floor alone to help you with any and everything you may need. They had desks everywhere with someone ready to answer your questions. If you even looked like you were ready to go to the pool they were right behind you putting your towels down for you and even a nice fluffy towel pillow to layout on:-) The spa at this resort was the best I have seen anywhere....it was fabulous! The salon, fitness center, business center, etc. were all great!

We actually didn't know this when we booked, but Le Blanc is a Palace Resort. It is the creme de crop of the Palace Resorts. You are basically VIP and can go to any other Palace Resort anytime no questions asked and check out their facilities. My husband and I were married at Moon Palace 5 years ago, so we are obviously believers in the Palace Resorts. By the way, if you are looking to do a destination wedding, this is the perfect place! One of the best perks about booking with Le Blanc is that there are 2 tours included free of charge. The jungle tour which are those little boats you drive out on to a snorkeling area and then back and the other is the boat out to Isla Mujeras. Both of the tours are a blast. We have done both of them, but we did the Isla Mujeras on this trip and it is definitely worth going to see. There is a palace resort there which is okay, but I recommend you grab a cab and go into town on the island and rent a golf cart for a day. There is a little pub called Jax that has wonderful American and Mexican food. It's not scary....very americanized. Drive around and head to North Beach. It is absolutely beautiful and you will love it! As you walk down the beach, there are cool little bars all along. You can walk out into the water and there is a sand bar that you can float and hang out. You can see all of the yachts come in and anchor for the day. FUN!

My husband and I travel about every other month and we hit Mexico about 4 times a year. We tried this hotel because we heard so many great things about it and I am so glad that we did. We will definitely be back and maybe we will see you there!!!

We went to LeBlanc for our honeymoon and, due to the fantastic reviews, had very high expectations and we were NOT disappointed. Everything about this resort is phenomenal!! The service, food, location, beach, rooms, butler, EVERYTHING is fantastic!! Definitely recommend taking advantage of the included tours...they're completely free and you can go to Chitzen Itza, Tulum, and other locations (we didn't do these because they are all day trips, but heard great things about them). We did do the Jungle Tour (which isn't really in the jungle, but was SO much fun...you drive your own speedboat through the lagoon into the ocean, then go snorkeling---takes about 3 hrs or so). We also did the Isla Mujeres tour which was slightly disappointing (the beach/resort they take you to is not nearly as nice as LeBlancs, but there were fun activities to participate in while we were there, so it was OK). Make sure to take advantage of the free nightly 'shows'--the 'fire show' is outstanding! Also, beach volleyball and water-aerobics are a blast and are given every day!! We did take advantage of the 2 free 25 min massages and it was the best massage I have ever had!! Can't say enough about this place! It's also really nice because you get free phone calls to US and free internet in the business center. The food was OUTSTANDING!! The filet at the Italian restaurant was great, and you must try the "truffas" dessert (if you like chocolate) at the oriental restaurant! You can order lunch from the beach, pool, room, or where-ever you like, it's great!! The strips of cajun (grouper on guacamole and tortilla chips) are delicious and I don't even normally eat seafood/fish--it's on the 'snack' menu at the pool. If you are trying to decide if you should go or not--GO!!! We can't wait to go back!!!

My wife and I spend our honeymoon at LeBlanc from April 27 through May 2. Words cannot say enough about to describe our experience at Le Blanc. We feel that it could really be hard to stay anywhere else after staying here. It consistently exceeded our expectations, providing a very memorable and exceedingly enjoyable all-around experience. I could not find one thing to complain about. Service was over the top, and the food was good. Location is perfect. We found the entire staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon.

We stayed at the Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun for 6 days/5 nights recently. It consistently exceeded our expectations, providing a very memorable and exceedingly enjoyable all-around experience. We found the entire staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. Many American facilities could learn a lesson here, from this customer-focused business. The hotel interior and accommodations were also very clean, modern, and well appointed. We had read some reviews on Trip Advisor indicating a degree of dissatisfaction with the food. We found the restaurants and the food to be simply outstanding. We had dinner in each of the specialty restaurants, and thoroughly enjoyed each. The buffet line is every bit as good as what you would find in an upscale hotel in America. The drinks were all top shelf liquors, supplied quickly and cheerfully. The beach, pools and fitness center were also very nice. The Spa was beautifully appointed and provided an extremely enjoyable experience. In sum, we can quite honestly unhesitatingly recommend the Le Blanc. We will never stay anywhere else in Cancun.

Hopefully, this won't sound like it was written by a member of the Le Blanc staff. But I just know it will end up seeming that way. My wife and I stayed from May 19th to May 26th, 2009. Occupancy was down because of the health scare and the economy. The staff seemed to be oblivious to the outside world and never complained about the low occupancy at all. As with most of the other reviews posted here, I give Le Blanc top marks in all categories. But somehow, that doesn't seem to do it justice. When you compare hotels in this price range (and make no mistake, it IS pricey), it is hard to imagine that they would consistently EXCEED one's expectations, yet they do.

I won't bore everybody with a list of my favorite entrees (there were several), because you should make selections based on your preferences, not mine. But the staff will gladly provide you with two or three entrees, smaller portions of those that can be divided (of course), so you can make up your own mind.

Where Le Blanc shines, though, is not in what is does best, but at what it does when it misses the mark: they react appropriately. Whether it is the butler, the limo driver, the IT person or at the spa, if you say something (anything) isn't to your liking, the comment will find its way to management and they will try as hard as they can to fix the problem. Not next week. But right there. So that *your* experience is improved, not just the next visitor to the hotel. I have three examples that apply to me and they did everything I could have asked and more to resolve the issues. Two were resolvable. One only at considerable expense to the hotel and they didn't flinch. One was only resolvable by moving rooms, and since we had been graciously upgraded to a Governor suite (with a walkdown seating area with separate desk) I decided to live with the imperfect wireless (that was me you saw standing outside my door on the fifth floor with my laptop downloading my email and then slinking back into my room) rather than change rooms (which they offered, of course).

About the only negative I can come up with are that because the hotel is much smaller than some of the other Palace Resort hotels (like Aventura Spa), the buffet had fewer items than you would see at one of the other hotels. Of course, the quality of the food was higher, also. OK, maybe one more negative. They always try, maybe a bit too hard, to put the Le Blanc imprimatur on everything, including their food. If you compare, you'll find that the pancake batter is just a bit different here than it is as the other Palace Resort hotels. And the croissants have a slightly different glaze. I'm talking about real details here and for those used to the other Palace Resort hotels' food, like I am, you might find that Le Blanc actually disappoints, at first, until you decide,as I did, that different can be, well, just different and doesn't have to be necessarily better or worse. I have an American palate and some of the Le Blanc dishes just slightly miss their mark (maybe a bit too much sugar in the croissant glaze, for example). But thankfully there are so many that don't, if I find something that disappoints I just don't order it again.

For first time visitors to this hotel, I would recommend that they spend an extra 30 to 60 minutes at the beginning just getting used to the fact that the staff here is hell bent on doing everything they possibly can do for you; including things that you would normally not think to ask. From the beach (where a staff person will position an umbrella for you, carrying his post hole digger around so he can properly set the umbrella wherever you would like it) to the fact that the Butler will be happy to fill your jacuzzi for you at a specific time so that when you get back to the room you don't have to wait for the jacuzzi tub to fill up (which can take as long as 30 minutes), you should adjust your expectations right at the beginning. You can then take full advantage of what the Le Blanc staff is willing to do for you so that you can get the most out of your vacation.

Back to some "reviewy" kinds of things: the beach was great, the drinks were great, the staff will remember your name after the first day or two.

Last story: I've returned to quite a few Palace Resort hotels when it was raining. A little wet, but not complaining because the rain is typically a warm one. At Le Blanc, though, when my wife and I approached the front door, the staff person greeted us with rolled up dry towels, so that we could immediately dry off. They didn't do that at any of the other Palace Resort hotels where they could have. It made an impression.
