I would like to start off by letting everyone know that my job has put me in some of the most amazing hotels/resorts all over the world, including New York, Miami, L.A., Las Vegas, Bahamas, Germany, Italy... you name it. So after reading many of the reviews on here about how amazing Le Blanc was, I was definitely excited to see how it compared to some of the other places I have stayed. Well, I have to say, Le Blanc is in a league of it's own! There really is no comparison as far as I'm concerned! Here's is my little breakdown on the whole vacation:
TAXI / VAN RIDE TO THE RESORT: After a quick 1 1/2 hour flight from Orlando we arrived at the Cancun airport. A lady asked us if we needed a taxi, and we told her that we were looking for a bus that takes small groups of people to the Hotel Zone. She led us to this guy, who we quickly found out had nothing to do with the taxis, but was trying to sell us tours. I just told him that they were already included in our package (which they were) and that we were all booked up for our stay. He then pointed me in the direction of the taxis. Someone quickly grabbed our bags, we paid for 2 people, and then they took us to an area where we waited maybe 5-10 minutes, and then we were in the van and on our way to the hotel! It was a relatively short ride, maybe 20-25 minutes, and then we were at Le Blanc!
ARRIVAL AT LE BLANC: As soon as we got out of the van, someone took our luggage, and we were greeted with cold towels, a glass of coconut milk, and flowers! Talk about an amazing first impression! Check in was a breeze, and we were introduced to our own personal butlers, Hector and Javier, on our way to our room!
THE ROOM: Coming from someone who is a neat freak with OCD... the room could not have been any more perfect! It was so clean it honestly didn't feel like anyone had even stayed there before us, lol. It was completely spotless, and I loved everything from the decor, to the double jacuzzi in the room, to the ocean view. And both me and my boyfriend agreed that the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
THE FOOD: We ate breakfast and lunch at the International Restaurant every day except for one, when we ordered room service for breakfast and had lunch at the third floor outdoor restaurant. There was such a huge variety, and I really enjoyed trying a lot of different foods that I have never tried before. As for the Asian, Italian and French restaurants... in my opion all three served 5-star quality meals. My personal favorite was the French restaurant.
SERVICE: Absolutely out of this world!!! There is no way to put in to words the extreme level of personal service that this resort provides. Anything we wanted or needed was tended to immediately, folowed by a very sincere "It's my pleasure". One day we left about $10 with a note saying that we liked Twix candy bars, Crown, Vodka, and diet coke. Needless to say, when we came back up to the room, our bar was stocked. :-)
And Sergio, Alfonso, Mario, Ceasar and the "events girls"... if you guys are reading this, thank you for making this the most enjoyable vacation ever!!!
SPA: Again... out of this world! My boyfriend and I got the 4 hand Kukulkan massage, and I think it's safe to say that they have now ruined it for any spa I might visit in the future, lol.
POOL / BEACH: Soooooo gorgeous! There were always more than enough chairs and towels, and we would give whoever was taking drink orders a decent tip in the beginning, and our drinks stayed full the entire day. :-)
There is really so much to say, but I'll go ahead and stop before this review turns into a novel, lol. Plain and simple, you can't go wrong with Le Blanc. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me. :-)
