Be aware - This place will cancel your reservation! My wife and I were scheduled to leave for LeBlanc on the 30th of March. I made the reservation and paid in full last November. I was appalled that 9 days before our departure they cancelled us! The only reason we were going to Cancun was to stay at LeBlanc but they cancelled us for "a group". To be fair, they offered us a lessor resort and 3 free days at LeBlanc at a later time. Due to our schedules, this is impossible. Nobody I've spoken to has ever experienced this before. They've refunded our money but have left us with a bitter taste that will not be forgotten.

I went to Le Blanc for 5 days in March of 2007 with 3 college roommates to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We chose an all inclusive (adults only) resort to make life easy and it worked out very well for us. I will say that I doubt I would come here with my husband. The place was a little crowded and noisy at night (more exactly 3-4 am). I would, however probably do it again for a celebration like the one we gals had. I have never been to an all-inclusive before and was fairly impressed with the operations. The highlights for me were the spa, workout room, and pools. The food was just o.k. - I'm a snob I'll admit. The wine was subpar !! However, I was quite pleased with the breakfast/lunch buffet. The coffee was really really good which surprised me (I'm from from Starbucks country - Seattle area). I was definitely taken back by the drinks at the pool. Not only were they delicious, they were well made. By that I mean not watered down, which is what I expected for some reason. They didn't have top "top" shelf like Maker's Mark or Grey Goose but they did have Absolut. The bar staff was friendly and attentive and they work their booties off. Even though tips are included we still tipped them generously in US $ - I would recommend you do the same. The spa was very relaxing and quiet. The bar area inside and the restaurants were too brightly lit (I'm probably being picky here, but I like 'em dark). My biggest complaint is they were doing repairs (noisy and unslightly) -and the painting - it really smelled bad of paint fumes. I realize repairs have to be done sometime, but is the busiest time of year, really the time ??? Once I got out to the pool and had a drink in hand, I pretty much forgot all about it ...... I have a feeling that's what they were betting on.

My friends and I just got back from an all girls 5 day stay at Le Blanc. We had a wonderful time! Great choice to get away from the everyday craziness. To keep it simple, here is my opinion...
Pros: Great lobby, pools, beach, bartenders, excursions, waitstaff and the spa is incredible. Better than at the Boulders! The gym was good enough for vacation workouts. The gift shop had all the little things you would need without completely ripping you off. Leave toiletries at home as others have stated. I will list the food as a pro as I have been to other resorts in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, and other places in Mexico so comparatively speaking, the food was really good at Le Blanc. You are on vacation so step out of the "box" and try new things. You could be pleasantly suprised. All the traditional Mexican fare was very good. Loved the stuffed peppers at breakfast. The wines offered were okay, but not "good". The pinot at the oriental was drinkable but we were at the pool for a few hours prior so that recommendation may be "tainted" a bit. As for entertainment, there wasn't a great choice to choose from but remember, this is a Spa first and a Resort second! The strip has all the commercial clubs to visit if that is what you are looking for. Also, loved the little "dolces" at night.
CONS: Check in and rooms are luck of the draw. Didn't receive any juice but the coconut milk looked refreshing if we had received it. We did get a cold cloth and a cold receptions from the front desk. BIG improvements are needed at check in. It seemed very inconsistent. All dbl bed rooms are lagoon side. We tried for oceanview but to no avail. Le Blanc REALLY needs to differentiate pricing on lagoon vs. ocean view. We were lagoon side side which would have been fine if we were charged differently. The noise from the disco starts Sat and Sun at 1am and goes until 5am. Yes, you can feel the vabrations in your room from this. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper! We were on the 5th floor (527) so the vibrations were worse than the noise. I don't think we heard it as loudly as the lower floors. Lagoon room numbers start at 25 and go to 39 if I recall correctly. Partial views start at 21 and go to 26 and all the full ocean view rooms are 20 and less. The rooms we finally got I think were just checked out of as there were no toiletries nor was the mini bar stocked. If you can afford it, go with the suites to guarantee a better room. Butler non existent but when we did get the pillows, take the lavender!!!
All in all, if the people (who do work very hard and we tipped them well for it) were trained consistently, the experience would have been 5 stars. As it stands, I give it 4. The problem lies with management I think so please don't take it out on the workers who do great you by name and will get you anything without a hassle. Remember, you are on vacation. Relax, enjoy and don't let the little things stop you from doing just that. Get to know some people around you. Met wonderful people vacationing there and Jorge and Marco from Le Blanc were a pleasure to meet and very hard working. Would recommend this over any other AI resort in Mexico...

  • Liked — Spa, Pools, All Inclusive
  • Disliked — Same pricing for all room levels and the noise from the disco

There is a reason this hotel is #1 on TripAdvisor! I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT..!!! This was absolutely the PERFECT place to spend my second honeymoon!
The service was what all the guests were raving about!!!! Every restaurant, every bar, every service person was TOPNOTCH! Your greeted at arrival with a cool scented towel and a glass of sweet juice. Rooms come with a butler but we didnt use him because, well, we arent the type to but he remembered us by name and said hello everytime we got on the elevator.
THE SPA..........Oh boy..better than any spa I have ever been too, and that includes ones in Vegas! It was absolutely GORGEOUS! We did the 3 hour couples massage and private room and it was sublime. The excursions that came with your stay were fun and very professionally run. Isla Mujeres was a nice little get away for the day. The restaurants were so good there too. Being a bonafide Sushi addict, it was in the top 2 Ive been to. Claudia sang a few nights during the week and she is a "cant miss"! She sings like an angel!!! The pool in the middle gets busy early but its always fun. But upstairs on the deck is the private pool with couples beds to sun on, a bar and restaurant. Everynight there was a little dessert waiting, a bottle of wine, and fresh flowers. Free room service 24/7 and they restock your fridge everyday! The couples jacuzzi was so nice to come back to after a day in the sun or out and about the island. We were so relaxed and happy, we didnt go to the bars downtown. LeBlanc guests can visit ANY of the other Palace Resorts, but other Palace Resorts cannot come to LeBlanc. One day we ventured down and ate a nice lunch at another hotel and played some mini golf. At the buffet in the morning or during dinners, there is a classical musician playing! That was a really nice touch.
I cant say enough great things about this place! You wont be disappointed...its perfect. We liked it so much we bought 200 weeks at the Palace Resorts!

We had never been to Cancun, but will definitely go back!

Spent 4 luxurious days at LeBlanc at the end of February. Very contemporary, with white being the main theme. Room overlooked the lagoon pool and the lagoon. It was very nice. romm was very well appointed with a king sized bed, double closets, jacquzzi tub, single vanity, large shower with 2 rainheads at either end and 4 other jet shower heads. All tiled with glass door and a seating area in the shower as well. Large, flat screen TV, nice sized dresser with mini frige and 4 bottle of liquor in it to use, included in the price of the room. Amenities included a bottle of wine, terrycloth robes, slippers, large bottles of complimentary toiletries, chocolates on the vanity at night.

Pools were very nice as well. When the larger infinity pool on the beach side would be shaded in the afternoon, we would just move to the lagoon side pool. Both have a swim up bar too! There was another pool on an upper level as well as a pool with jets near the beach. These pools must be heated, as I found out when I moved to another property later in the trip. This was where the all-adult aspect of the property was nice. No kid noises coming from the pool area. Just adults enjoying themselves. We met many people, just drinking our rum punches, viewing the beach from the pool. It was heaven!

Can't really address the restaurants. We only ate the buffet at the international restaurant and it looked very nice with freshly made grill items. I'm a picky eater, so I really can't comment on the restaurants, but I heard good things about the italian one. They also have an Asian themed one and another one that I don't know the name or theme of, but I heard it did a good surf & turf.

Bars served top shelf liquor and beers and were plentiful. Again, I found this quality out after moving to another property later. The lobby bar had a great view out over the pool to the beach and was a great meeting area. Plus, they served continental style breakfast there in the morning and pastries in the afternoon.

Check-in was efficient, staff was pleasant and helpful. We didn't use the floor butler or the choice of pillow types (there are 5). They had lots of available bottled water, but we used ice in our drinks and never had a problem.

There is still a lot of building going on on the strip, mainly larger,multi-storied buildings. I think Cancun is remaking itself into an upperclass destination and hopefully, getting away from the spring break crowd. This is maybe even more true due to the fact that most college kids don't have passports and don't want to pay to get one right now.
