This was our first time to Mexico. We were there from Feb 8 to 15. This is a nice hotel, it was clean, friendly stuff, food is good, and drink are there, just need to ask for what you want. Like everyone said the beach is full of rocks and all 7 days there was a red flag on the beach. The entire hotel in that stretch had red flags for 7 day we where there because of the wind, it was too wavy making it dangerous for swimming. If you walk about 40 minutes south the beach is better, is sandy. We went swimming there one day, even though it was red flagged. Grand Oasis is beside OMNI, small section of their beach is with out rocks, and we went swimming there one day.
They advertised the snorkeling is part of the all-inclusive package, but it’s not. They don’t lend snorkeling equipment. Even if you had the gear there is no place to snorkel near by. Windsurfing, pedal boat, and Kayaking is included with the all-inclusive package, only thing is that is not at your Hotel. You will have to walk past four Hotels (about 20 minutes) to go windsurfing. It’s on the lagoon side witch is good, no waves the water is calm. If the beach, snorkeling, and water sports are your main priority then this is not your resort. For me these are important so I was a bit disappointed, but still I had a good time.
There are some bad review about this place, it not that bad. Yes there are time-share people trying to sell stuff, no one got to me. They send memo to the room about a free gift, don’t fall for that trap. Those are the time-share people.
Very little night entertainment, you can say none. One day they had some performers, do a show. I only catch the end of it. I didn’t miss much :-), it was not that good. No nightclub at the resort.
My conclusion: This is a good place to relax, Food, Drinks, Service and cleanness excellent. Beach, water sports, and night entertainment thumbs down.
