We just were at the Omni for the last week and it was relaxing. We did not get the all inclusive as I had heard so many complaints about the food being the same every night. If you pay for the buffet it is $25 pp each time. That adds up, so we went out to eat a lot to be able to eat the foods we enjoy. DaVinci was great for my birthday dinner. The total bill at the end of the week was a LOT cheaper than the all inclusive and we drink on vacation. The beach is a wreck but they have started getting sand from the ocean and putting it on top of the boulders that the hurricane drug up. They have started on the opposite side of the Omni though, so not sure when it will ever be swimmable. I will go elsewhere for the beach instead of Cancun. So sad. There was one incident that left me feeling uneasy. I couldn't open the safe after returning to the room and a security guard came to help. He was fast but added that someone tried to get into it while we were out as once you have so many attempts, it will not open. I changed the code and it did not happen again. One other incident was that standing water was in the hallway leading to the bath and I fell in the middle of the night and hurt my knee badly. I am still hobbling around with a ace bandange and therapy. They had no explaination as to where the water had come from. It still remains a mystery as there was no water when we came into the room at 9PM. Not really the hotel's fault I guess but be careful on that marble! All in all a great time at the Omni and commend all the workers.
