The Omni Cancun continues to be a fabulous resort with beautiful rooms, excellent and personalized service, and a lovely pool and grounds. I have been to the resort 7 times and every time it feels like coming home. We were there again the week of Memorial Day and Mexico is fine!!! I would recommend this resort to anyone - couples, families, young and old. It is perfect for everyone and I will continue to go on my annual trip to this wonderful place!

Stayed here a few nights along with a few night at the Marriott Casa Magna.

Check in went very smooth at the omni, although it took a little bit of time. While waiting they sat us in a room off to the side and offered us snacks and drinks while we waited which was very nice.

After check in we went to our room and it was clean and oversized. The beds were nice, but no nearly as comfy as the Casa Magna to be honest also didn't have the nice LCD tv that the casa magna had among a few other things.

Everyone at the omni did seem to have a smile on there face and was ready to serve you in any way they could. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was cold so I didn't spend much time in there. Ocean is of course very beautiful and warm. Kinda seemed like swimming in warm bath water which was very nice.

Overall it was a pretty nice hotel I think I paid $129.00 a night which was about average I think so not to bad on the price. I would reccomend this hotel for travelers who like to have fun and and relax by the pool. They had some amazing drinks I will say that!! If your looking for a little something more upscale and nicer I would recoomend the Casa Magna honestly.

Ok since I always check trip advisor before going anywhere I figured I should write about the Omni. Just like when my wife and I went to sandals I read all the bad reviews and then worry to death until I get there and see how wonderful it is. SO.... Omni was great, service was excellent, food was great, pool was beautiful. Be advised there is not a good beach but the pools make up for it! One of the staff explained how the hotels screwed up the wind patterns and that's a big part of why the Cancun beaches were so messed up. He said too that someday they will put in a break wall and build the beaches back up... not Omni fault and they are suffering the same fate of many other hotels in Cancun!

Ok so the lobby is amazing, marble everywhere, staff was sweet! MUCH better service than Sandals who prides themselves on it! Food was great we thought, drinks were non stop, room was super clean and view was amazing. Met great (crazy) people and enjoyed our stay. My only complaints were the doors in the hallway were awfully thin (then again I think the massive amounts of marble carried sound pretty well) and there was no mini fridge in the room.

I suggest all inclusive (they give you bracelets and you don't have to worry about a thing). I also suggest the van ride to the hotel (bought through expedia). Don't worry about time share people, just tell them nicely and firmly that you are not interested (and that it is number by number the worst investment you can make!) They were polite and actually very friendly. Gym is great! Bring you headphones for the treadmills and get ready to waist the effort with great marg's and beer! Did I mention to take advantage of the room service!?

Our 5 night stay at the Omni was awesome! We had an ocean view room with spacious balcony. The view was an aqua expanse and gorgeous. Better than the room and view, though, was the luxurious "how can we please you" attitude of the entire staff...from the front desk, to the waiter in the restaurant, to the gardener. What a treat to experience when on vacation! One concierge there, Monika, has won prestigious awards in the area.
We opted not to have the "all-inclusive" as we wanted to get into the town and experience the local fare/culture. We did eat a few meals at the Omni, though. Breakfast was over-the-top superb.
We enjoyed lazing by the pool, taking the bus (VERY EASY) into town, to church, to the ferries.......we liked jogging on the path to the right of the hotel to the public beach and back. The fitness center was a great place to get a good workout.
Our favorite activities in Cancun? Definitely snorkeling at Isla Mujeres and going to church (Resusicentado) (sp?) on Sunday for Mass.
What could be better? (Always something can fit the bill).... I would've loved the bathroom to be more luxurious. It was definitely fine, and clean, though.
We definitely want to return as soon as possible! We miss the warmth of the people already.
