Omni Cancun Hotel - Excellent Hotel
My husband and myself have a fabulous time and I loved everything about it clean, tasty fabulous food, excellent service
and very helpful and entaining excellent. Right on the
beach. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and there is nothing
negetive to say about the hotel. Lots of imported boose, food, very clean pools. Staff excellent and helpful and right on the ball.

After being bumped from our flight and losing a whole day of a short 3-day vacation, the Omni really made the trip worthwhile. As I said, we lost a day of our vacation due to American Airlines, but because we booked the hotel through Expedia on a vacation package, I was certain we would not get any refund from Omni. I was wrong. The readily agreed to credit us a night's stay. The staff was also very friendly and seemed willing to go out of their way to accomodate. The place is also extremely family friendly. We had a 3 year old and the restaurants always made sure she had something she liked. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast on the sand restaurant.

Omni Cancun is wonderful from the Hotel being perfectly clean ,the excellent friendly staff and super first class food. The beach is great with waves ,palapas ,waiter service that goes beyond the call of duty to make you feel special. The grill at the beach is open for breakfast and lunch with a nice a selection of choices to pick from off the menue . The beach also two bars and a large hot tub (30-40 person) that is not to hot . The main restaurant has all three meals buffet or menue and we never had a bad meal . Da Vincis is first class. The snack bar has good pizza and sandwiches , finger food etc. Rooms are simple but clean and have a nice balcony . I believe all inclusive is a excellent value and can't go wrong using this option . One thing to warn you about is the time share ladies at the hotel they greet you at your arrival and say they are customer service . They wear back uniforms like the people working at the front desk but sit at a desk just to the right outside the lobby bar . They will give you a letter under your door and call you .If you are not interested just say you know about the time shares.

We ended up at the Omni as a last minute change from the unfinished Great Parnassus...

The good things:
We had a junior suite-oceanview on the 8th floor. It was very quiet and the junior suites are quite tucked away so you are quite peaceful...check in was great, the grounds are great, there are a lot of great pools (loud ones with games and extremely quiet ones for reading, plus the kids pools are in the perfect places for the adults to also enjoy)...beach is large and nice. There are huts for shelter from the sun and a lifeguard on duty...no complaints about the cleanliness at all. Concierge was fantastic and room service was extremely tasty and prompt.

The bad things:
Some areas had some poor service. the loud pool took forever to get a drink as did the La Poloma on some ocassions. But the service at the Pina Colada was terrific and the beach service was very good.
We were all-inclusive with the wristbands but they still made us sign a "bill" every single time. This is very annoying because you just want your food/drinks and go, not wait around for the waiter to come back and for you to sign.
