I just stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. I can not speak enough about this place. This is located in the south west most corner of hotel zone. So if you get one of the ocean view room, then you get an amazing view of the cancun hotel zone and the ocean. If you are into clubs and bars, this is located 3 minutes walk to all the best clubs in the town. Bus stop is 5 minutes walk. By the way Cancun has really good transportation system. Hotel staff are extremely helpful. This is one of the most clean hotel in the town. There is no beach in this hotel, but you can walk next door hotel from Hyatt and use their beach. The next door hotel is very welcoming about it. The choice of music in this hotel is amazing. This hotel plays bands like "Thivery Corporation" and "Gotan Project". Right in the back of the hotel there few small shaded area with bed with amazing view of the ocean. You can just sit there and enjoy drinks. All in all this place gets a plus from me.

This hotel was very nice and in a great area. There are a few things that people staying at this hotel need to know, none that are terrible but are a little negative.
First - This hotel has no beach, has a great view of the water but but no actual beach on site, You are allowed to use the "dreams resort" beach next door but are not allowed to use their chairs or tables or use the beach if a wedding reception is going on.
Second - With the "dreams resort" next door they have weddings every night, and they have loud music that plays until about midnight. Not that you want to go to sleep by midnight when you are on vacation in Cancun but just in case you are not a night owl you should be aware of this. We were on the 11th floor (out of 14) and was loud enough to hear and make out every word from the bed.
Third - The hotel staff is very nice and friendly but do not count on them for directions, they got us lost on more then one occation.
None of these negatives would bad enough to cause a huge problem on vacation bit thought people should be aware

After a long day travelling we arrived at the hyatt regency cancun and could have literally kissed the floor at this beautiful hotel. We walked into a room overlooking the bluest ocean in the world and knew we'd be more than comfortable here for a few nites. The room was immaculate and I would definitely suggest spending a little more on an ocean view room - the view is indeed amazing. Everytime we walked into our room one of us would say "fabulousness".
The staff at the hyatt were also fabulous and friendly - they always had a smile and were helpful. We arrived at the hyatt after a week in cuba where we'd had a great time but eaten the most consistently terrible food...the restuarant at the hyatt was a gift from the gods. Beautiful food, friendly staff, great cocktails and fabulous food - what more can you ask for...we highly recommend the lobster salad!
Overall this hotel is definitely 5 star and as a side note, I found it much cheaper to book this as a flight/hotel package on expedia than booking separately.

Absolutely loved this hotel!! Stayed in an executive room with great views down the coast. Arrived very early at the hotel (9am), was surprised that my room was ready for me. Staff were very friendly upon arrival and departure. Could not fault the executive room spacious and comfortable.

Wasn't very impressed with the Executive Lounge as the selection of food and drink was limited.

Apart from that couldn't fault the hotel and would stay here again!!
