My husband, myself, and another couple stayed at the Carribean Princess from March 24-April 7 2009. Before coming, I lost so many nights sleep from reading the ridicules reviews on Tripadvisor. I tried everything to cancel and get myself in a five star resort to no avail. I was given the choice of three other resorts that sounded every bit as bad, and it would have cost another $400.00 per person. Being a bit of a spoiled diva, I decided I would try my best to rough it for two weeks. Much to my delighted surprise, it was one our best vacations yet!!! First we were led to our rooms which were both one bedroom, full kitchen, dinner table, living area, and full bath.(The toilets don't flush well, but we found this almost everywhere in Cancun, not just here.) We were expecting a king bed and dresser so this was a wonderful surprise. I don't know what people were talking about saying the front desk was rude because weather it was first thing in the morning, or three in the morning, they were nothing but helpful and sweet to us. (Maybe people treat you how you treat them, do ya think???) And Tony, you rocked our world!!!!! I would come back to this resort just for you. I can't believe how you have a smile on your face from early A.M.till early A.M. Make sure you go clubbing with the resort. They know where to go on the best nights, no line ups, no dealing with money in bars, and loads of fun. (Tony even escorts the ladies to the washroom and waits till your done then leads you back.(I can't even get my husband to do that!!) I am not going to lead you to believe that it's a 4 or 5 star resort cause it's not, but it is clean, the people are wonderful and all the staff tries so hard to please, even the rude Brits in the restaurant who would'nt have been happy if Woolfgang Puck had cooked there meal.(We offered to do horrible things to your drinks and they would'nt let us, lucky for you) I am a vegetarian and a very picky one at that and was far from hungry at any time, plus they do have the menu if you don't want the buffet.A little shout out to Santos Miguel and Juanin the restaraunt, I can't believe how hard you work. A big thak you to Tony again for trying so hard to find my lost purse. I know you went above and beyond to try to it for me and I really appreciate that!!!(Don't bring anything important on nights clubbing,Tony will tell you this but some people need to learn the hard way.) One more shout out to the graet Brits we met who seemed to be having as great a time as we were. You guys were a riot. STAY AT THIS RESORT IF YOU WANT MORE FUN FOR LESS FUNDS!!!! FROM CANADA.
