I was alittle worried about negative reviews but not true. went for 4d/3 nights. no problems at all. nobody in your face selling you stuff. beach beautiful,though waves rough. a little windy. ate at all the restaurants food was good and lots of variety. any drink you wanted hey cecilia and the candy man at lobby bar. good job. used water world facility free catamaran use was too windy for paddle boats.$ 50 for jetski for 2 seemed like we were out there a hour. would definitely go back very close to airport 7 minutes approx. enjoyed own jacuzzi with bubbles fresh clean water between uses. room was great with large tub I soaked for a half hour seemed like forever. chocolate strawberries left in room 1st night. great price value. hey any vaction is a good vacation. be glad you have the means to travel. good job grand oasis Playa. shout out to ernesto waiter at buffet bring the lunch to the ppol at 2 pm.

I found the hotel was "concrety". Lacked foliage which was wonderful for those looking to sit in the sun all day. There was virtually no shade. The hotel was broken up into many levels so be fit and able to go up and down stairs. The food was excellent at the buffet and out of the three a la carte restaurants, the mexican one was the best. There were bars everywhere and I don't think there was a drink the bartenders couldn't do. This made up for the lack of washrooms. There was one in the lobby and another close to the beach level. The different pools on the various levels were clean and inviting. There was space on the beach to sit but for the week I was there, we couldn't swim in the ocean. Entertainment was minimal so I would suggest you go into Cancun if you are looking for something more lively. The bus stop is just outside the hotel. I believe effective May 1st, this hotel will be a family hotel.

I wanted to say a big Thanks to Emma from Fare Deals she found us a trip , We had airfare and hotel stay at a great price . Well onto the hotel , when my girlfriend and i got to the hotel we was greeted right away and had us drinks in our hands less than a minute , We was waiting for our room at 3 when we was there at 2 no big deal we just sat and enjoyed our drinks . People from the time shares tried to get us to buy some trips and we told him that we was not interested and he was really nice and walked away without begging us to buy. So 3 o'clock came and we had our room on the button . We got to our room and we didn' t want to leave the room . Well we did end up going to the pool and boy i loved the pool , nice and clean and very friendly people there and lots of topless ladies around the pool and plenty to drink . The food there was outstanding we had the breakfast buffet every morning and lunch we didn' t really eat because our drinks had us full ...lol . We went down by the poolside at nights and watch the shows and ate by candle light very romantic, the Mexican fiesta was great lots of different foods to eat and i had to make 4 trips for my food because it was that good . The drinks was outstanding all i had was Miami Vices and Rum punches . the pool made it a little weak but it was great and the hotel lobby bar was great also they made our drinks very strong like how i like them . We did take a trip to the Ruins about a 100 mile away it rained there but when they tell you to get bug spray you better get it , Its like a million bugs just attacked you and the tour guide was great and the tour was ok . we got back to the hotel it was almost the whole days trip. We also took the bus to town and when you step on the bus better set down right away because you will end up on the floor like i did . When we got to the shopping center we was almost attacked by people selling stuff but we kept on walking . we found a shop and we bought all our suviners and i bought for all my family and their kids for under 30.00. Great shop! Well our last day there at the hotel we pack our bags and started out and i DIDN' T want to leave i loved it so much there . I told my girlfriend that i really want to come back to this hotel and Cancun again . Thanks For the stay Grand Oasis Playa for the stay i loved it !

I went to Cancun the last week of January this year for a girlfriend get away with 3 of my friends. We stayed 5 days 4 nights. I really enjoyed my stay. I thought the resort was beautiful. It could use some renovating but overall it is nice. I thought the staff was very friendly. It didnt take long at all to check in or check out. The room was nice. We had a beautiful view of the water. The food was ok. But I must warn you that one of my friends got sick. We went to the buffet the night before & we went back to the buffet that next morning. We tried to figure out what she might have ate that we didnt for the reason that she got sick & we came to the conclusion that it was either the mussels that she had the night before or the eggs (she had them over easy) that she ate that morning. Anyway she was sick for a day & a half. She was throwing up & had the runs. So Im assuming that she had a case of food poisoning. The best place to eat at this resort is the Italian restaurant cant remember the name but reservations have to be made 24hrs in advance- the food was excellent! We went shopping at the La Isla shopping mall which was very nice but some stores were pricey & we also went to the flea market 28 which was nice as well. We took the bus (which was 6 pesos) whenever we ventured off the resort.
