I just wanted to inform others that if they have a current reservation here you will not be staying here. Grand Oasis is currently consolidating guest in Grand Oasis Cancun & Oasis Palm Beach due to the lack of guest due to the flu hype. They did not bother to contact me nor the travel agency about this change so when we arrived we had quite a time locating our resrvation.

We stayed at this resort in early June 2008 for our honeymoon. As soon as we walked up the stairs into the hotel we fell in love. They meet us at the door and asked us what we would like to drink. We told them we where on our honeymoon and they said if you can wait for a room we will make it worth your while. So, they took our bags and we went to the spa and changed into our swim stuff and they came and got us a few hours later and took us to our room. Let me tell you it was worth our while to wait. They gave us an amazing up grade. We had am amazing ocean view. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean with a hot tub on it and four chairs and a table. I could have lived in the bed for the rest of my life LOL. The food was very good, the drinks get stronger the more you tip, the swim up bar was very nice but gets kind of packed around 12pm. Also, the lawn chairs go very fast in the morning so get one early. The resort is kind of far from town but there is a bus stop right outside the front of the hotel. The beach is kind of rough outside the resort. However, you have access to the other oasis hotels and they have very claim beachs at them. Don't get talked into the free breakfast at the other oasis hotel because it turns into a 4 hour long time share thing. Overall a nice resort and we would stay there again.

I just came back from a 7 night vacation at the Grand Oasos Playa and founfd it to be a very nice hotel!! The pool was very clean and the beach was beautiful!! White and sandy!! No rocks!! The enetertainment staff was helpful and fun. I did water aerobics with Manuel every morning.. It was great!!

Maybe I'm picky. I've been to Mexico 7 times. Your first impression is OLD! The lobby is very outdated with old chairs and dark. The check in staff (J. R.) is rude and not helpful at all. They act like they are doing you a favor. The gift shop is a joke. It's the first hotel I've stayed in with a gift shop that poorly stocked. The lady was always on her phone and you would have to interrupt her conversation just to ask for a price. Make sure you take everything you need. I was so desperate for something sweet that I paid $4.00 us for two candy bars. The food is the same everyday. The bars were okay. The only beer they serve is Corona. We went to town to get XX Lager. The pools are great, but the water was always to cold to swim. It's very windy there. The swim up bar was in deep water and you hardly see anyone setting there. Make sure you watch your items. Our towels were stolen twice and our suntan lotion. The price of the towels were $15.00 us. Security speak very little English, and could not help us with the stolen items. Don't walk around by the pool at night, it's very dark. They cut the lights off by the pool and lobby. They also cut the air off around 10pm in your room. The ocean view was great. They water was beautiful. One more thing, if you want good service, tip,tip and tip. Hope this was helpful.
