Stayed at the GP from Feb.7-Feb.14, 2009. Check in was a breeze, nice welcome drink and orientation. Offered to view a time share but politely declined and that was the end of it, no hassell the rest of the week.
Rooms: Room was an oceanview club, 6th floor, great view of the ocean and a nice jaccuzzi tub. spacious bathroom with great lighting and double shower with bench seat. Rooms are a little dated but your on holiday you don't live there, who cares right? beds were actually comfy because of the matress topper.
Food: Buffet breakfast and lunch had awsome choices, eggs, waffles, french toast. Highly reccommend the chicken fajitas for lunch. Pier 12 was just so so, absolutly loved Old Barn, steaks were unreal.
Service: Second to none best I have ever received in Mexico, friendly attentive, over the top. Tipped a dollar or 2 every couple of rounds which let me tell you went along way. Tipped the maids two dollars a day and room was always spot less and had fresh towels and a stocked mini fridge. Also on day 4 or air conditioner broke and was pumping out heat. After a quick chat with the bellman they had a repair man up to fix it by the time we were back from dinner.
Tips: Don;t pay more than 25 us for a cab ride from the airport to hotel, (I made the mistake of paying 60), Xel-Ha tour with Tulum was unreal, Selvatica Zipline was great, party hopper was fun too. Wear Sunscreen, haha. Have fun guys and gals this is a really great hotel, whick offers a very welcoming and happy vibe your whole trip. These people work their butts off to make you happy. you won't be dissapointed.
