I stayed at Park Royal Oct 15-20. Unfortunately,
Wilma interrupted my stay,but I did get four glorious
days at hotel. Service was excellent, the staff work
so very hard to please. I think the only door I opened
was my room door. Hotel was emaculate,pools were great,especially upper pool, what a view. The hotel
has several bar areas,with some of the best Pina Coladas this side of heaven. I think because the hotel
is smaller than bigger chains, you receive more personal one on one contact with staff. You'll leave
feeling a real bond with all the wonderful people
you have met. The food was very good, lots of Mexican dishes, I can still taste fresh hot sauce they make.
Tamales,too.humm. The rooms were large, very clean,
I went as single, my room had 4 double beds and balcony. I was amazed, hot water and firm shower head.
I really have to comment on care that was given to
us after we evacuated hotel. I really don't words to
express how thankful I am to all of the staff who worked so hard to make all 310 of us vacationers
comfortable. Most of them have lost their own homes
and hadn't even been home to see damage, yet they
never stopped working to help us. They manned restrooms night and day, housekeepers came to rooms to
help with water issues, 3 of staff even brought bread,
jelly, plates during the height of storm so we had food. I will never forget that, best dang sandwich I
ever ate. One of the workers didn't even have a rain
coat. They literally risked their lives for us, and
for that, I am so very grateful. I really don't have
words to truely express my gratitude. You won't be dissappointed in choosing this hotel for your next stay, God Bless all the people of Cancun,my

The staff are fantastic at this hotel, they can not do enough for you. We only got one day at the hotel then we had to evacuate because of hurrican wilma. But what i saw was out of this world. The hotel was very clean indeed, the rooms were very spacious with a t.v, no balcony thou only in the special rooms. The pool was very clean and the pool bar was ace, manguel the pool bar man was really nice.
The food is good but nothing really for kids, no chips or anything like that.
When we got evacuated the staff looked after us very well indeed. We only ate rice and tuna that sort of thing but in a shelter they are limited to what they can do. i would defo go back there again but maybe feb time. If any of the hotel staff do read this i want to give them a big thank you for everything you did.

My husband stayed at the Park Royal for the two middle weeks in October and arrived somewhat apprehensive after reading some terrible reviews on this hotel. Were we staying in the same hotel?
We found the staff here wonderful, the food fresh and very varied and the room comfortable. Though the furnishings were a little tired, the room was absolutely spotlessly clean. In fact, the staff seemed to clean non stop everywhere in the hotel. We loved the adult only pool, an oasis of calm and the beach was beautiful. Huge beach towels were supplied which was useful, too.
Now the bad news.
The Park Royal was badly damaged by hurricane Wilma - and will probably not reopen until next year. The beach will need replaced and the lovely shopping centre across the road that others have referred to is no more than a pile of rubble.
We would like to record our thanks to the Park Royal staff who looked after all of us in the hurricane shelter. They never left their posts (still frantically cleaning) even though their own homes were ruined. They refused the collection we presented to them, too, saying they were only doing what they were paid for, looking after us. We plan to return in a couple of years.

we read alot of reviews about PRP and i must say alot were just inaccurate. the hotel was fantastic. it was as if you had your own servant walking behind you, the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. the presidential suite we stayed in was unreal[watching the sun set with cocktail in hand in your own jacuzzi with your new wife while on honeymoon will never be forgotten].the restaurants served a wide and varied choice which even i enjoyed and i'm a V.fussy eater.To cut a long story short this place is worth every penny,pound or dollar. i would recommend this hotel to anybody. we LOVED IT.
p.s hope wilma doesn't do to much harm to the fantastic and wonderful people of cancun.our prayers are with you.See you next year
