I stayed at the Moon Palace the week of Jan 21st to the 28th 2006. We stayed in the Presidental Suite. Need I say more? We arrived at 9:30 and our room was not ready NO BIG DEAL TRUST ME. They took care of our stuff and we were free to spend our time as we liked eat drink, sleep, swim, shop.
The week was great. the staff was VERY happy we were there and it shows. in the smiles and "Its a plesure"
(you hear that alot) You do get room service if you are in the Presidental suites not the regular rooms.
but really you can find food just about any where any time. I have stayed at the resort 4 times now and I will go back. Its the only way to go. The staff is the best HATS OFF to ALL OF THEM.

We stayed at the moon palace from the 11th Oct 2005 to the 23rd and we cant wait to get back. In fact we are booking to go back next year and finish what we started. We where there when hurricane Wilma struck and had to spend 6 days in the moon palace confrence centre but the service we got in the centre was amazing. The staff are the friendliest people ive ever met and so considerate and helpful. We got married on the monday before the hurricane struck on the thursday and it was magical. My wife looked so stunning and our children were beautiful. The wedding staff are helpful and will do anything for you. The wedding went without a hitch and is a day i will remember forever.
The hotel itslef is VERY large but its very easy to find your way as it is signposted all over. The food served here is second to none and a lot of effort is put into the food presentation which adds that little bit extra to the experiance. Our room was very comfortable and i tried my best to polish off the free booze in the room but failed (had a good time trying though). overall i would say the hotel is one of the best in Mexico and its an experiance i would deffinatley promote.
On the day of the evacuation from the hotel after we had found out the hurricane was heading for us it was a bit scary but the staff all helped out and kept everyone calm.We were some of the lucky ones to have a shelter of that stregnth. The shelter however is somewhere i would never want to go again. My wife and I never had a chance of our honeymoon but we well be going back as soon as possible. 10/10, 5 stars, brilliant!!!!!!

We just returned from a short stay at Moon Palace. We were with a group from our sales company and had an excellent time. I have read reviews on this resort for the last 6 months planning for this trip and many were right on the money. All inclusive is an awesome way to spend a vacation - no worries about what costs how much. Just show your bracelet. The resort itself is still recovering from the hurricane effects and that's apparent in several places. They are replanting flowers, bushes, etc, but are always eager to stay out of the way of guests and do whatever they can to minimize your inconvenience. The staff is awesome everywhere in the resort but those who wait in the restaurants are truly above and beyond. We Americans could take a few lessons on helpful attitudes and giving a smile to all we meet. They are truly an inspirational bunch of people. We did not realize just how much has been accomplished until we looked at the reviewer's photos after our return....seeing what it was before the hurricane, right after the hurricane, and where they are now truly gives you a feel for how hard they have worked and the minor inconveniences experienced by visitors now is just that - very minor. I read about all the bath products provided but still packed our own - I should have listened - we could have packed MUCH lighter...toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, mouthwash, shaver, bubble bath, body lotion, you need it - they probably provide it!
It is a very large resort and there's a lot of walking. Mostly, we would have liked an elevator to our room on the third floor - but we hear they are beginning installation of those in the near future. That will be a nice addition. It's a beautiful resort with very nice rooms, great food, many activities and staff that is beyond anything we've ever had in the U.S. They work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Hats off to all the staff at Moon Palace!!

Stayed at the Moon Palace Jan 23-27, 2006. I am not saying this is a horrible place, all the employees in the restaurants were very friendly and our room was cleaned daily and fridge restocked, towels etc. But, we went in a group of at least 40 people for a wedding and from the moment we got to the resort we were having issues with rooms. Some people needed two beds and got only one, some did not even have rooms. That was all taken care of finally. There is still alot of hurricane damage and workers were everywhere repairing things. The food was good, but I wouldn't say out of this world. We were given a room service menu and when we called to order room service, we were told there was no room service. Never did figure that out. The beach was horrible, very dirty, lots of garbage not picked up by the help, and seaweed. That wasn't a big deal, because we went to Isla Mujeres and found the perfect beach anyway. Even the wedding was a little screwed up. They had told the bride and groom that the wedding was in a gazebo, but then upon arrival they said it was not available and the wedding would take place on the beach. Again not a huge deal, but when you expect something one way and get another, its a little inconvenient. So, I guess to sum it up, I would not say this is a horrible place, but just the little nuisances that occured doesn't put a picture in my mind of a four or five star resort. I would probably not return to this resort, or for that matter Cancun.

Our company took some of our customers on Feb. 3-8, 2006. If you are looking for a location to entertain clients or just want a great vacation, this is the place. We travel extensively and this is one of the best experiences we have ever had anywhere in the world. The sevice was great. Everyone down to the groundskeepers are friendly and helpful. The property is completely operational. And the only thing missing is some of the landscaping that is just now starting to come back.
There are 13 restaraunts to choose from and they all do a nice job. Service is excellent, food is good. We did not expect an all-inclusive resort to have gourmet food and they do not. I would recommend going to buffets for breakfast and lunch. and enjoying the "order off the menu" restaraunts for dinner. Service on the beach and at the pool was fabulous. They wait on you constantly. You are never without a drink or whatever you need.
If you golf you will find the courses in excellent shape as well. There are three 9 hole layouts and the damage to the jungle (rough) is extensive. But the courses are great. Make sure you play The Dunes course. It is by far the most scenic and challenging.
The treatment at the Spa is first class. Staff are well trained and give amazing service.
The free tours are nice but make sure you take advantage of some of the other tours. Snorkling for example is great in Cancun. And make sure you take the free Kitchen Tour. It is facinating to see how the place operates.
Do not listen to the complainers. Every so often somebody has a bad experience and they whine about it. This place is worth the price. You will not be sorry you came.
