I stayed at the Oasis the week of December 6/03. My friend and I decided that being young girls that we would travel to Cancun. Our main reason for going was to relax during the day and party at night. If this is what you are looking for Cancun is the place to be. Anyhow we had originally booked to stay at Tucancun. Upon arrival to this resort we knew right away that we should never have gone there as the majority of people there during that time were much older and really where only there for pure relaxation. After a short debate we spoke with our tour operator and decided that we would switch over to the Oasis Cancun.
Upon arrival to the hotel I found the front desk staff to be fairly pleasent. We checked in and went to our room. Well, our room was very damp and not to charming but hey I didnt go to Cancun to stay in my room all day...so although we were disappointed we did not let that get to us one bit. The beach at the Oasis Cancun was nice although i must add that Tucancun's beach was much nicer.The food was a nightmare...However I am not one of those to base my entire trip on the food...and hey I came back home 5 pounds lighter..I am not going to go on and on about the hotel so I will make it short and sweet...if you dont care about not having a royalty room and you dont care much for the food and you want to go somewhere where there is alot of young people or just people that are in Cancun to have fun...relax during the day and party at night..then this is the place to be..My friend and I are planning a trip back next year sometime and will definately be staying here again.

My wife and I stayed 5 days at the Oasis, Dec. 11-16. We are in our 40's. Our room was clean and afforded us a spectacular ocean view. The service was good, although the bellman are not that fast. They wait until they have a large batch and golf-cart it up to your building. It's best to keep your luggage with you and take it to your room yourself if you can. About 70% of the people staying there were under 25. So there was some serious drinking going on and some general ruckus - (10 people under 25 are much louder and boisterous than 10 people over 40!). but nothing that offended or disturbed us. The food was average. There were 4 restaurants to choose from. The service was OK and the help were all pretty cheerful. Although the hotel was only about 60% full, so there were usually no lines. There wasn't a great variety of drinks, but the usual tropical type, wine and beer. By the way, if you don't like draft beer, order it from the pool bar. They had Corona in bottles, the only place on the property that I saw that served it this way. You can use the facilities at the Grand Oasis, which is adjacent to the Oasis. Although you can't eat or drink there on your Oasis all-inclusive ticket, you can use the excercise room and jacuzzi. It is also much quieter then the Oasis, so you can stroll over there and sunbathe or use the pool - the same pool goes from the Oasis over to the Grand Oasis. The beach is nice, waves a little large. I read some pretty bad reviews about the Oasis, but I didn't see it when we were there. Use the safe in your room. It only costs $4.00 per day and it's worth it for the peace of mind. We have been to Cancun 3 times and this is the third hotel we have stayed at (We stayed at the Sierra Cancun and Carribean Village) and all were just as nice, although smaller then the Oasis. The Oasis is a good place to stay.

we went to the oasis cancun 11/27-12-6 . i was very frightened after reading all the bad reveiws , but was pleasantly suprised after going to the hotel .the staff were friendly and helpful. the food was fair.
spent alot of time at the pool and beach which even though the waves were alittle rough was the best. we tipped most of the time but i noticed alot of people did not and the staff appeared to give freindly service no matter what . as for the price of the trip i couldn't have gone for three nights for the price we paid for seven.

Just got back from the Oasis and figured I would write a review b/c I read so many bad ones b4 I left. Truth is this place is great,food is good,drinks are good,beach is the best...for real walk the beach for an hour...you will like the Oasis the best,pool is perfectly clean,grounds are unreal, rooms are ok...they get a lot of traffic thourgh this place, I had a blast,and would def go back. Just if your older "over 30" dont go here during any sort of spring break or high school break...b/c I hear its just crazy!! Review over.
