Me and my boyfriend just recently returned from the Oasis Cancun. The hotel has both ups and downs. The upsides of the hotel is that it is cheap. If you get the all inclusive package, you can defintaly get your moneys worth and more, just because you can eat and drink as much as you want. The pool and the beach are also very nice. The pool is almost always very clean and has different games throughout (pool volleyball, etc) and the beach is very beautiful and relaxing. There are quite a few rocks along the beach, but there are places with just sand to the extreme right and left of the Oasis. The food at the hotel was decent, but far from great. The best restaurant there is the Thai place. They serve great food for lunch and early dinner. I believe that the best place for dinner is the Meditteranian place. The buffet has alot of variety, but nothing really tastes all that great. We never good find a decent breakfast while we were there. It is fairly easy to get a drink at the bar during the early and mid part of the day, but after 5 or 6, it is almost impossible because there is only one bar open and that is in the lobby of the hotel. The drinks themselves are good, but they are not the strongest. Now to the rooms. The rooms, in my opinion, were terrible. Everything on the beds smelled like they were soured and the tile floors were really sticky. The water in the shower and sinks smelled terrible and the toilet and urinal thing were not in the best shape. The TV only gets 2 stations in English, one of which is an all movie channel. We never got anything stolen, but we also rented the in-room safe, which was like $3.50 USD a day. If you dont want the maid in your room while you are gone, which we didnt, just keep the sign on the outside of your door to the "sleep" side and they wont even come in (at least they didnt the whole 6 days we were there). All in all, this hotel is for the people who dont really care about what their room is like or relaxing, but it is definately for those who want to party and go to the bars. So if you are going to have a nice relaxing vacation at a resort, this is not the hotel I would recommend!

Very short and sweet. The rooms suck they have no Clock, Iron, TV Remote, PHONE, or any other basic basic things you find at the most run down motel. You might get these things if you're lucky in a day or two. The food is disgusting, and my husband and I eat ANYTHING. I've never written a review before but really felt it was necessary to write one about this poop hole. We had three couples all together EACH of us needed to get new rooms for various reasons no AC, the lock on the door wouldn't work. Awful.. On top of all this my husband sliced his foot open in the pool because it's falling apart, he bled a ridiculous amount IN THE POOL and they ignored it. A girl vomited in the pool and they ignored it...A child pooped in the pool and they ignored it!!!! The NEXT day another guy sliced his foot open in the pool I will post pictures once they are loaded. OH and it took us 3 yes 3 HOURS to check in. If you are fresh out of high school and don't give a crap what your room looks or smells like and just want to drink a retarded amount then yes stay here. If you are looking for a relaxing fun vacation no no no no no. There are 18 year olds everywhere drunk and out of control. (I am only 20 but this was annoying to even me I couldn't imagine my family staying here)

I recently stayed here and I must say you get what you pay for. The all inclusive part is pretty nice however the rooms are not that great. They feel very humid and spell muggy. The front desk staff is not helpful. Our room had to get changed because after several hours of asking the front desk for help (upon our arrival)-nobody help fix our ac. In the second room the bathroom was giving us problems and our television set did not work. We were fine with this because we barely spent time in our room. However, the straw that broke the camels back was when an ignorant employee named Marlene refused to work with is when we explained how my fiance lost his wristband that allowed him access to the hotel. She stuck to her policy and tried to charge us $100 USD to replace it. That would have been fine until she proceeded to say that I was calling her stupid because I simply was asking her to please try to understand our situation and help us out. She also tried to accuse us of trying to sell the bracelet on the internet if she gave us another one. She offended my when she said "If you are calling me stupid (which I did not!) then what does that make you?" Just know that at this hotel- the customer is not always right and they are the first to let you know it.

WOW is all i gotta say. The room service is pathetic. I did not get room service for 3 straight days. I called 4 times for towels and they did not come till the next day. My friends bedroom had a water leak in it. The outside of the hotel is good. If your a partier you should go. The restraunts are good. One thing to watch out for is the insurance bracelet. They say if your under 25 than you have to pay it, it is 27 bucks. But we met ppl down there that asked where it was in writing and they wrote something up in spanish. Its a huge scam so don't pay it. They complained about it enough and got off without paying it. They also never once washed our sheets the whole time we were there.

We just came back from our really, really cheap vacation to the Oasis Cancun and I can honestly say that 95% of all the negative reviews are people complaining for the sake of complaining.
I did see a coulpe of negatives that I can verify however, The buffet food was less than good and the fact that there is only the lobby bar open after 6pm is a little irritating.
Now the good. We were one of the first to be checked in and it was a little slow but we did get the exact room that was requested. The room was really nice, plenty big with a view of the ocean and a bit of the pool. The tub drained really slowly after a shower but who cares about that anyway. We never did rent the safe and only locked up our suitcase when we left. I did leave a $5 tip out for the maid on the first day and she never even took it, not until the second day when I actually had to hand it to her did she take it quite gratefully. Nice bed and it was cleaned nicely every day.
The food at the restaraunts was pretty good and the best by far was the sushi (wilma rolls) followed by the steakhouse.
Drinks were good and you CAN get drunk, and thats from personal experience (Hurricanes, not sure what is in it but a bubba keg full will erase all of your memories from that night).
The pool is where the action is, pool volleyball ect.. and was always great, games all the time and a good staff, especially Jesus.
The beach has huge rocks along the shoreline that were exposed from the hurricanes, but you can walk down the beach a little north to swim if you want, I really can't fault the hotel for what nature did. The sand is nice and white, a few vendors that hit you up as you were coming off the stairs but after that they never bothered you. One guy looked so thirsty at the end of the day I got him a beer, water and a hot dog and he gave me a necklace without asking.
Never did golf at the course out front, it looked kinda rough to say the least.
The nightlife in Cancun is crazy!! The foam party is really wild from what I remember of the first half (That was the night I drank hurricanes).
It is SO expensive to go out though, between $20 - $50 to get in anywhere but it is an expierience that shouldn't be missed.
Take the bus everywhere, it's cheap and comes every couple of minutes. Never book tours through the hotel!!! We went to Xel-Ha and we booked with a guy at a booth outside of Coco Bongo's named Hawaii, what was $132 in the hotel and $99 online was $87 from him. The tour company picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off there at the end of the day, it is a wonderful place and is worth the trip.

Was the place perfect? No. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I recommend it? If the price was right, absolutly!!
If you want a relaxing vacation and are going there to get some rest then DON'T. This hotel isn't that place and doesn't profess to be.
If you want to have a good time and have a good time during the day and go to the clubs at night, this is a great, cheap place to spend your days and sleep (or pass out) at night.
Take it for what it is and don't expect it to be something it isn't and you will have a good time.
