I don't even know where to begin. This place is definitely not for someone looking for a nice relaxing vacation. We had to move rooms 3 different times due to either the AC not working, door lock broken, NO running water, sitting water in both the bathroom & room and finally the patio door wouldn't even close. This place was such a disappointment, I did not feel valued as a customer one bit. We purchased the lock box key to protect our valuables and still the staff went into our suitcase (which was packed & zipped up every single day we left the room) and stole my husbands shoes. After confronting the manager about it he just said we should have locked them up if they were expensive. I would highly recommend spending a little more just to not deal with the headache. It would be perfect for the high schoolers who are just trying to party as that was the majority of the travelers there.

I agree with almost all the reviews about the Oasis Cancun. We arrived to the hotel the air conditioner in our room did not work and there was ants. Upon complaining to the front desk we where switched to another room but not because of the broken a/c but because the maintinance guy told the front desk that there was ants in the room ( I guess they thought that we where lying ). The next room a/c was alittle better so we accpeted that and bought a fan the next day at the local Wal-Mart while out sight seeing. I think that it is a poor excuse that everyone keep saying I guess you get what you pay for because when I chose this hotel it was not just based on the price but also on the pictures and what the hotel portrayed about itself. Nothing look like the pictures as a matter of fact the pictures that Oasis use are actually pictures of the Grand Oasis (not the same hotel but next door but Oasis guess cannot use the services of this hotel without a fee). So overall to me I was not happy with the cleaness, or services of the Oasis Cancun Hotel they are under staffed but continue to book the hotel to capacity.

My wife and I got back yesterday from 5 days at the Oasis. We experienced not one problem the whole time we were there. The food was good,the service was excellent.Yes,the rooms were a little old and a bit musty,but you need to remember,this is a hotel right on the beach,and it has been there for quite some time.There were a ton of kids ages 15-20 and they were just experiencing time away from mommy and daddy,probably for the first time,but they were no trouble at all,other than the late,late night noise. Most were very polite kids.The beach had a lot of rocks from the hurricane,but there was plenty of room for the chairs they set up and swimming. The water is absolutely beautiful,with kickin waves.Bring plenty of 1 dollar bills to tip the workers and you will be treated like gold.We tipped 2 dollars to everyone,bartenders,housekeeping,bellboys,anyone who helped us.These people work for tips and 2 dollars goes a long way for them. phase 1 bartender,ABRAHAM, he is the best,one awesome bartender.Are you going here to sit in your room,or relax and have a good time ?Overall,it was a wonderful experience,and we are going back next month. I recommend it to anyone willing to tip here and there.Remember what you are paying to go there. WELL WORTH IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my boyfriend just recently returned from the Oasis Cancun. The hotel has both ups and downs. The upsides of the hotel is that it is cheap. If you get the all inclusive package, you can defintaly get your moneys worth and more, just because you can eat and drink as much as you want. The pool and the beach are also very nice. The pool is almost always very clean and has different games throughout (pool volleyball, etc) and the beach is very beautiful and relaxing. There are quite a few rocks along the beach, but there are places with just sand to the extreme right and left of the Oasis. The food at the hotel was decent, but far from great. The best restaurant there is the Thai place. They serve great food for lunch and early dinner. I believe that the best place for dinner is the Meditteranian place. The buffet has alot of variety, but nothing really tastes all that great. We never good find a decent breakfast while we were there. It is fairly easy to get a drink at the bar during the early and mid part of the day, but after 5 or 6, it is almost impossible because there is only one bar open and that is in the lobby of the hotel. The drinks themselves are good, but they are not the strongest. Now to the rooms. The rooms, in my opinion, were terrible. Everything on the beds smelled like they were soured and the tile floors were really sticky. The water in the shower and sinks smelled terrible and the toilet and urinal thing were not in the best shape. The TV only gets 2 stations in English, one of which is an all movie channel. We never got anything stolen, but we also rented the in-room safe, which was like $3.50 USD a day. If you dont want the maid in your room while you are gone, which we didnt, just keep the sign on the outside of your door to the "sleep" side and they wont even come in (at least they didnt the whole 6 days we were there). All in all, this hotel is for the people who dont really care about what their room is like or relaxing, but it is definately for those who want to party and go to the bars. So if you are going to have a nice relaxing vacation at a resort, this is not the hotel I would recommend!
