Thank goodness we got this trip at a bargain. I can see why they had to heavily discount the cost.

Complaints:

We had to switch rooms because our air conditioning did not work in the first room. We could not get our TV fixed in our second room for the remainder of the stay after multiple calls; we don't stay in the room a lot so it was not a big issue, just a nuisance.

The noise was also a problem, there were people yelling in the hall ways most of the night, especially at around 4am when the bars closed. I thought the prior complaints had a lot to do with spring break, but apparently not. The other noise was from the heavy table and chairs in the rooms being moved. When you move them the noise will be heard rooms away.

My biggest complaint was that we did not have any bottled water furnished for the rooms or a fridge. The bottled water in the lobby was $7, you can go across the street to a small store by Captain's cove. You would think an all inclusive would supply bottled water.

The Cancun beaches are disappearing. We stayed at this resort seven years ago and the beach was a large expansive area, but they have lost a third of the width of the beach area and you now have exposed rocks you have to navigate if you venture into the surf. Our group came back bruised and scraped because we thought we were up for the task. This goes for most of the hotels along right of the 7 in the hotel zone.

The best part of our trip was going off the resort to Captain's Cove restaurant for Steak and Seafood. It's expensive, but the service is top notch. We also ate at a very good Brazilian style restaurant at the resort. We had good food and good service. The people working in the restaurants were all working hard and trying to service everyone, but it looks like they cut the staff, so you may have to be patient. If you run into a great server, I would recommend tipping them. The people in the restaurants had the best customer service.

I have been to Mexico six times and we are going to the Playa Del Carmen area in two weeks, so I say these things knowing the area and having stayed at quite a few different hotels and areas.

My wife and I went to the Oasis for our 10 year Anniversary. The first 2 days there was great. We drank at the pool, ate at the restaurants and hung out on the beach. Seriously though, after 2 days everything at this resort gets old quickly. The food tastes the same, The alchohol drinks made me sick (and I can drink with the best of them) Tequila is harsh, not smooth at all. My wife liked all the girly drinks, )Miami Vice, Bob Marley, Mango Margaritta, Pina Colada... but I like beer and it was kinda gross after the 2nd day. The grounds are beautiful at this place but if I was to do this trip again, I would stay at another resort. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere nice. We never got anything stolen but we talked to people who had and almost everyone we talked to there was unhappy. We made the best of it but never again. Email me anytime to discuss and I will shoot you straight..

First of all, you go check-in and surprise theres a 27 dlls "insurance fee" for every person under the age of 25, you have to pay the fee, you cant leave you credit card as a waranty, then since they are not properly staffed you carry your own bags to your room, you get to your room and oh surprise "THE AIR CONDITIONING DOESNT WORK" In june, in cancun, no air conditioning??? im already back home and im still waiting for it to be fixed, after that, u go to the bathroom, your sitting in the toilet and theres a hole on the ceiling, yes, a big hole, i could see the water lines, im not even gonna describe how much it sucks to dry your sunburned body with their towels.
Now we move on to the food, the buffet tastes like plastic, even the soda tastes like it has water in it, being there i found out form a friend of mine who lives there that the food they give there is bought one day before expiration date, so its cheaper for them, "THEY ARE ALMOST GIVING US EXPIRED FOOD" no wonder it tastes so bad.
The alcohol, oh my god, first of all i only recognize one brand out of ALL the different types of alcohol i saw, and thats CORONA, other than that i have no idea what cheap alcohol i was drinking.
And for all u BACHELORS, if you hook up in a club or wherever and you wanna bring the girl back to your hotel room guess what? "YOU CANT" unless you pay the amount of $50 dlls per person, and they can only stay till 9 am, otherwise its another 50 dlls so they can stay during the day.
And if all this wasnt enough the customer service they provide is NON EXISTENT, i have been to many places in the world and stayed in many hotels, and this one is BY FAR THE WORSE

Do your self a favor, go to another hotel

we are very easy to please and don't ask for much, but : hotel staffs only concern was selling time shares not guest service. If you decline they will not even acknowledge you are there. The room had water leak from ceiling ,water all over the floor. Only one key would unlock the door, and we could not get another one. No maid service for three out four nights, and when they did service our room a pair of shoes were stolen. There was very little a.c. . There is no beach front only rocks, very dangerous. M. I don't even know where to begin. This place is definitely not for someone looking for a nice relaxing vacation. We had to move rooms 3 different times due to either the AC not working, door lock broken, NO running water, sitting water in both the bathroom & room and finally the patio door wouldn't even close. This place was such a disappointment, I did not feel valued as a customer one bit. We purchased the lock box key to protect our valuables and still the staff went into our suitcase (which was packed & zipped up every single day we left the room) and stole my husbands shoes. After confronting the manager about it he just said we should have locked them up if they were expensive. I would highly recommend spending a little more just to not deal with the headache. It would be perfect for the high schoolers who are just trying to party as that was the majority of the travelers there.
