Maybe the best location on the entire island. Incredible clear water with abundant fish for snorkeling. The smart traveler will snorkel here for $4 US instead of the more pricey Garrafon Park next door. The rooms are clean but a little worn and many need new air conditioning units. Juarez is the kindly gentleman who mans the front desk most hours. They serve a nice breakfast on the beach and it's included with the room. Small terraces/balconies offer and extraordinary view of paradise. The people here are very kind. Lots of iguanas on the property- they eat produce...try to get them to eat from your hand. We paid $75US for a room with two small beds in january '08. I'll stay here again- even though, or maybe because, it's on the opposite side of the island from the downtown area.

We had a reservation - obviously there is no such thing at this hotel.
12 people showed up and they bump us out of our room - had to show my cancelled check to get my money back - luckily I brought it with me. I got my money back two days later - But don't expect a room if you have a reservation.
