We recently stayed at the Club International in Cancun Mexico; it is part of the Royal Timeshare group.
We thought we had a 2 bedroom 2 bath accommodations, but through a mix up, ended up with a 2 bedroom 1 bath condo. This was a bit hard since we had 4 adults, but the front desk, which was very accommodating, told us if something came up they would move us; and true to their word, they had a unit mid week.
The rooms were clean and comfortable with all the immunities that we needed. Rooms were cleaned daily. My only two complaints would be that the beach was very shallow. I'm talking not deeper than 18".. yes that's right 18". They did have a shuttle that took us to The Royal Sands which was 10 minutes away that had a wonderful beach. The other was that there wasn't any music playing all day at the pool area. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed ourselves... PS A very small restaurant called La Dolche Medera was excellent, a bit hard to find as it is next to Casa Maya way back near the water, but EXCELLENT Italian cusine.
Everyone at the resort went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one.

Stayed at Club Internacional with the family last October and we enjoyed every day at full. Villa: clean and well kept. Food: too american but that's ok. Takeout: great pizza and lasagna. If you're not interested in buying just say so and they won't bother you at all. This October will be using the Royal Haciendas, will keep you posted.

It was our first time in Cancun and decided to take a chance on this place after reading great reviews on tripadvisor. We stayed there from July4th-9th. We had a wonderful time! The grounds were beautiful. We stayed in a spacious 2 bedrooms 1 bath unit with a kitchen. It was nice to have a kitchen since we have kids. It was convenient to be able to stock foods for the kids and to be able to cook something for them instead of having to eat out every meal which could be expensive. The pool was great for the kids and the ocean water was calm. Maid service was excellent. She kept our rooms super clean. This time share is 31 years old, but it does not feel like its age. Everything has been kept in excellent condition. It's a beautiful place! This is a perfect place for families with children. Also, this resort is conveniently located in the hotel zone but about 4 km away from the center of the hotel zone. There is a bus stop right in front of the resort. It only costs 7 pesos which is equivalent to about 70 us cents one way. Much cheaper than taking a taxi which costs approx. $10 one way. The bus can take you anywhere around the hotel zone. We took the bus to Walmart and shopping centers. It's very easy to get around on the bus. The bus drivers are also helpful if you ask.

The only negative, depending on your preference, is that the water on the beach was very shallow and has lots of sea weed. There wasn't a lot of space to swim in. However, it was also perfect for our kids because it was safe for them to be in the water. We didn't have to worry about big waves like the sister resort at the Royal Sands. The water there is much more turquoise and beautiful, but it had big waves which made it hard for the kids to play in safety.

Overall, if you have little kids, I highly recommend this resort. If you have teenage kids or if you don't have kids then the Royal Sands might be better.

We stayed at the Club International de Cancun June 14-21, 2008.
The resort is beautiful. There are flowers everywhere. I felt I was
in paradise. Every employee goes out of their way to help make
your vacation great. When I first bought my timeshare in Aruba,
the service was exceptional and they have the same kind of
service here too. I love being pampered on my vacation.
We got a rental car and travelled to Ek Balam and Chichen Itza
for a day's excursion. We were able to enjoy the ruins at our
own pace. Take the Cuota toll roads which are in better
conditions and less speed bumps.
Maggie was helpful telling us the best way to travel to
different locations in Cancun. The Welcome Party and Taco
Party were a lot of fun.
We enjoyed traveling to the other Royal Resorts they have
better beaches because the Club International had a terrible
seaweed problem.
We were not hassled into any timeshare presentation.
The only thing that Club International needs to improve
is to get softer mattresses.
We would definitely recommend this resort to stay at for
a great time!!!
Thanks for the memories.

Club international is a very well kept resort. It is an older resort and I was impressed at the grounds and how clean it was. The problem I had while vacationing at the resort is that once you pay your money for anything your money is gone and there is no one there who can help you. I booked a shorkeling tour in the lobby with thomas moore. I was told that it would be on a catamaran. Which I insisted as I will not get on a smaller boat. Everything was set and paid for when the consierge from club international told me I should have book a different snorkeling tour. She said she could change our tickets and and that it was on a catamaran which I again insisted on. Well when we got there it was a small boat and I would not get on. I sat on the beach while my friend went on the tour. When arriving back a the hotel I went to speak with the consierge and of course she was not there. The next day she was not there either. I asked to sepak with the manager and he was not there. Anyone with any authority was not there. How convienent. I was getting the run around and I new it. I was given the wrong information and paid $78.00 for it. So moral of the story. Once the mexicans get your money they are not giving it back. Even if its there error.
