Got a great view of the parking lot, no tv in bedroom downstairs, lights upstairs didn't work, had 2 extra people in our party and was not informed that it was an extra $25 per person per night. Kitchen was too small and cupboards way too low. I did a pre-check in on line the night before and they screwed it up when we arrived. food selection was poor, bartenders were rude and the guy that we bought the timeshare from lied about the cost of beverages.

We stayed there between Feb 27 to March 05, 2009. When we checked in was about 8:30pm, there was only one staff at the frong desk. The staff seems very tired and does not wants to be brother. Finally, we checked into our room, it was on the ground floor, there was very strange smell in the room, seems the room has not been used for a long time, the light in the room was so dark...we called the front desk and requested to exchange the room because of the strange smell, the front desk advised they may not have the room, better is exchange the room tomorrow, after asking to talk with the manager, the front desk staff finally said there is a room available on 3rd floor. We took all our luggage back to the tiny lobby and wait another 10 mins to get the key. There was no directly showing us how to find our room, we carried our own luggage to find like 20 mins before found our room. The room is much better ( at least no strange smell ) seems the funiture is a bit cleaner. We were a bit tired just because changed room.
The beach has a lot of weeds, but still quite nice.....The other good thing about the resort is the tiny superstore, clean and have good supply that what we need, the price is acceptable.

Our Family stayed in this Resort for the week 7-14, and had a great time. The staff is the best in class, we were treated like close friends. The villa was cleaned every day, and it had most of the basic stuff. The maid put new towels, and new sheets every day.

The only two bad points I give to VCI, is that the beach is really dirty, and that they need to update this resort ASAP. The mattress are hard like a rock, and the sofa dosen't have any cushion.

Other than that, we had a great time, and will problably go back if they update a little bit this resort. If you visit the VCI ask the maid for a matress pad for your bed, it will help.

We have been to Cancun many times and own at the Royal Sands, but, this is our favorite resort because of the service, accomidations and the friendliness of the staff. The resort sits closer to the water than the larger resorts. The water is calm for snorkeling and nice swims. It has its own pier and you can catch several excursions right off the pier. It is also close enough to walk to the marina where a lot of the excursions leave. Our teenagers like the water at the Sands better because of body surfing.

We traded our Marriott Time Share to come to Cancun at the last minute. The Club de International was the only thing available so we took it. We arrived late on Saturday night and everything was closed, but the desk clerks were so friendly and helped us get a pizza delivered because we were starving! We got to our room and were thrilled. It was a two story condo. Two bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms upstairs and a bathroom with a shower, kitchen, dining room and living room downstairs. All tile except the stairs which are carpeted. We were in room C-111 and we think it had to be the best room in the complex. Our balcony overlooked the ocean and we opened our downstairs sliding door and walked 10 yards to the beach. We were also right beside the restaurant. The pools have recently been re-done and they have a swim up bar on the one by the restaurant. The lounge chairs on the beach and pool were great. They have security guards on the beach to keep people from pestering you to buy things. The resort has a good market where you can get milk, juice and snacks. My daughter did a pottery painting class and we had a massage on the beach. All in all it was great. They also have a bus that takes you over to their other resorts that runs every couple of hours.
The beach at this resort is beautiful, but the water is very shallow and not so great for swimming.
The food at the restaurant was good enough for us. The people were very friendly and helpful. It is a time-share and they will approach you about buying, but once we told them we were already owners and weren't interested in buying, they left us alone. It is further up the beach and you can't walk to any of the restaurants on the strip, but we just took the buses and it was fine. We ate at Carlos and Charlies one night and had a blast there. Also, you will hear a lot about Market 28 which is downtown. I went there after going to Market Negro, which is on the hotel strip. I think Market Negro is much better and has better quality. Just my opinion. The fitness center was being re-modeled, so we weren't able to use it. Also, they said we MIGHT be able to get wireless if we were on our balcony, but we were able to get it in the rooms. They gave us a pass key and it worked beautifully every time.
