After a minor accident at the cancun airport, we lost our outbound flight, so I had to stay an extra night in cancun, I considered Alux because it was 1 block from the bus station and had to grab the 4am bus to the airport. but since I was Alone I grabbed a taxi and asked him to take me to magic express instead, the cab driver recommended a closer hotel so I decided to check it out, told the cab driver to wait for me so I could take a look, liked the lobby and price so off he went. The room was only 595 pesos about 56 usd, including breakfast and tax. I was nicely suprised when I got into my room 117. Nice clean big bed , small bathroom, Cable TV with remote, he gave me a little key to turn on the A/C. I felt very safe, and comfortable. 2 bottled water, ice bucket, shampoo and soap. It was just what I needed. Sadly I did not try their breakfast, because I had to check out early.

Downtown hotel, approximately 3 blocks from bus station. Clean but simple room. Comfortable bed. No elevators. Air Conditioner a little loud. Staff helpful. Continental breakfast not that great. Hospital across the street, told by cab driver that it might be noisy, but didn't notice any noise problem.

I will stay there again.

We stay there two nights, one at the beginning of our trip and another one at the end of our trip.

The first night was not very good. The guy who was working at the reception that night was not very helpfull as our air conditionning stopped around midnight and we had to ask him 3 times to check but he only came 1hour30 min after the first time we asked him. We then moved to another room and the air conditionner was very loud but it was ok. btw he did not help us to move our lugage even if we were in bed at the time he finally came (that we had to call him again

the second night was much better. The guy at the reception was speaking very well english and helped us to get to the hotel zone to visit.

If you go there go eat at the canadian sandwich restaurant on the main street at 5 min of walk. Other wise the area is not very cool to party so you will have to take a taxi to visit the club area near the hotel zone.

Accomodation was of hotel standard at hostel prices. We paid approx £13 a night each for a twin room which came with AC and cable TV. Decent sized, clean rooms. Daily maid service and continental breakfast included. Very good downtown location, only 10 minutes to hotel zone by bus. Only complaint is that it was very noisy. We had several school groups staying in the complex at the same time who ran riot for much of the time.
