From day one our stay was amazing, walking in to the hotel was amazing it was so grand. The room was lovely, tidied every day with fresh towels daily, good size bathroom 2 massive beds together and a sitting area with couch and television. The balcony was a good size, 2 sun loungers and an excellent view. The hotel pools are superb and beach is spectacular with it's gorgeous white sand and clear sea. Entertainment staff are a fantasticly energized group of people...I'm sure you'll meet George and Roberto and Eric ...amazing. The food was fantastic, every restaurant we tried was fantastic, my partner is a very fusy eater but he ate everything put in front of him :-), buffett food was also very good and had a wide variety. Waiters and bar staff are the best I've ever experienced,(especially carlos, selina and jaime), you haven't finished your drink and another one's arrived, top class service. The staff where always friendly and constantly happy and very chatty. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxed and fun holiday it literally has something for everyone, you deffinately won't be disappointed. A total wow experience. We are hoping to go back next year to enjoy it all over again.

Me and my Girlfriend returned home on the 17th June and we are looking to book immediately for next year.
The service is nothing short of phenomenal, they can't do enough for you, I am positive if they could do the toilet for you they would.
With seven restaurants it is silly to eat out as all are top quality. Each restaurant has its own style whether it be the Brazilian with its tapas style dining or the Japanese with its chopsticks (if you are boring you will ask for a fork).
I feel it would be rude to give each a rating as different food appeals to different people and it may put people off for no reason. The staff are always smiling in the restaurants even though you imagine they have been working very long hours. The cleanliness is wonderful and the choice has someting to suit everyone, vegetarians etc.
The one restaurant which is always fully booked early is the Krystal. This is the gourmet of all the eateries and is michelin star quality. I tried a lot of different dishes and you would gladly pay a lot of money for all of them.
At the side of the reception there is someone there who will take your reservations from 08:00 to 21:00.
The staff in the bars are tireless and also have a smile of their face. My personal favourites were Selina and Jaime who helped make my holiday even better than it was. The drinks are all named spirits.. Smirnoff, Absolut, Bailey's whatever you drink, it's there! The cocktails are fantastic as well.
The rooms are perfect for two, although I did see families in these rooms which would make it that little bit smaller if their were four in a room. The bathroom is huge with two sinks on a marble worktop, showers are basic but do the job. You get a kingsize bed each next to each other which is excellent when trying to keep your distance! There is loads of storage space for clothes etc. The TV is big with channels for most languages as well as a small settee which is comfy enough. The Balcony is spacious enough. Now the important part.... Your fridge gets re-stocked at least twice a day, filled with pepsi, 7up, lager and water. Also you have bacardi, brandy, vodka and tequila on the optics in the room which is great. On every floor there is also an ice machine as well as a hot drinks machine which is magic! Room service is 24hours a day which has a decent selection, you can also arrange for breakfast in bed, all the instructions are in the room.
The hotel is in a prime location, literally a two minute walk from a decent shopping centre and a five minute walk (30minutes drunk) from the main pubs and clubs area.
I would recommend Coco Bongo's a tremendous show, just watch your personal belongings.
The entertainment in the hotel is great for all inclusive standards, Eric and his crew look after you and after each evening ask you to come out with them where you get transport, VIP area, free bar as well as their company for cheaper than you would pay at the door.
Also haggle for your tours and stay away fro the hotels when booking them, I used the company in the shopping centre Plaza Caracol across the road which saved a lot of £££.
Jungle Tour and Swimming with Dolphins are very good.

One other thing, I think I was the only person in the hotel who was not attending a wedding, nor getting engaged or on my honeymoon. It's a place for lovers so if you are not ready to tie the knot do a runner NOW!

I could find a fault if I wanted to but it would not do the hotel justice.

Hope this helps!

First off I would like to say this was a great trip and resort to stay in. We went from May 15th-19th during the time when people were scared of the H1A1 virus (0 confirmed cases in Cancun to date). I will say up front my girlfriend is Mexican and spoke Spanish about 90% of the time to the people in the country, it helped us out a lot. We took private transportation from and to the airport, friendly drivers and an air conditioned van.

Welcomed with a drink and beautiful lobby, looking straight through the lobby you can see the infinity pool and the ocean. The nice lady at the front desk upgraded our room since it was my girlfriends birthday, she accepted our tip.

Since the resort was at 30% capacity it seemed like everything we did was private and romantic. All the bar/restaurant staff were friendly and talkative. This resort is in a great location, right across the street from a mall with many things to purchase including excursions. The food was very good, just make sure you take a decent amount of dress clothes since they require them, Krystal was my favorite, 4 course meal, bottle of wine and champ. I didn't haven any complaints from any of the places, we didn't have any issues with reservations either. The beach isn't as big as it used to be due to the hurricane but it is still nice along with the 2 infinity pools and swim up bar. There were not many kids so it we also enjoyed that too, wouldn't recommend taking if you want to keep the kids entertained.

The reason I gave it a 4 stars and not 5 is because Rui has received the 5 diamond award years in a row. My girlfriend has worked in the hotel industry and know how prestigious this award and didn't think they deserved it. We had a burnt ironing board, broken light fixture, phone worked half the time with static, closet door was missing hardware and we had loose paint all over the ceiling. I want to explain this didn't matter to me or ruin any part of our trip one bit but it was something that bothered her knowing about that award they received. We always had our mini fridge stocked up and a nice liqueur dispenser in the room. Finally I would like to thank the staff for bringing us a bottle of champagne, postcards and little figurine for my girlfriends birthday.

I took my wife and 2 twenty plus children for 2 weeks to celebrate my 50th...and we had an amazing holiday. From the lovely Jessica at reception (some of the other reception staff were a bit surly) though to the wonderful young Rebecca in the restaurant, Hector the booze dispenser and Rudolpho the legendary outside barman, we thought all the staff were great. Our rooms were beautifully cleaned each day, sometimes twice, and all the bar/waiting/entertainment staff were great.
The food was...without exception.....great. From the egg chefs at breakfast, through to the specialist restaurants (particularly enjoyed the Fusion and the Steakhouse). We returned from a fishing trip and the kitchen prepared our catch for us that evening!
We throughly enjoyed the bars (!) and all the waiting and bar staff could not have been more obliging.....around the pools they seemed to ask us every 10 minutes if we wanted something.
The trip to swim with the dolphins on the island is well worth doing, but apart from that the hotel is so good there is no need to leave it!

Complaints.......none of any note. The hotel does have a slightly "seaside" smell that you soon get used to, but all our clothes did smell of it when we got home......but it is very hot/humid there so not a great surprise. It would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room for the early morning cuppa.....its funny having optics of Tequila, Vodka, etc in your room, but not strictly neccessary!
A fantastic 2 weeks was had by us all.....Thanks RPLA.
