We wanted our honeymoon to be really spectacular and asmy husband says, he didn't want to be in "Mariott Hell." We selected this hotel based on the number of rooms (90) as well as it proximity to the airport...as we were only there for 4 nights we didn't want a long commute to our hotel. The rooms are gorgeous with really unique decor and fabulous views. The only complaint would be the firmess of the bed. The breakfasts each morning were delicious with so many options. We had dinner/room service at the hotel each night, and it is VERY expensive. It was our honeymoon, so we didn't mind, but ordinarily I would have been little annoyed. The hotel grounds are very nice. We attempted to leave the hotel to check out Tulum, but the traffic was so bad, we ended up turning around and lounging by the pool. In terms of service the pool scene is wonderful, the staff is very attentive to your every need. The thing we thought was a little strange is that nobody spoke to eachother. It wasevery couple out for themselves. Also, it is very quiet at night, live music would have really been wonderful! We each got an hour massage at the spa, and it was good, nothing amazing. Overall it was a nice stay, but a little on the boring side for us.
