You are in luck reading this review, because among many reviews that are out there sometimes it is hard to say whose rating are low because they are picky, whose rating are high because they don't care about anything but quantities of food and drinks, etc... I've been in the hotel and I read reviews, and based on that here is the important info you need to know. 1) Beach itself is sandy and looks decent. Pool has entertainer. No shade available at all as all umbrellas are taken by about 6:15 AM. Not many chairs available. If you don't need shade and chairs, you have no problem. If you need shade and can't or don't want to withstand the sun directly for your entire stay you will hate it. 2) You pay for all-inclusive, but food is about McDonald's quality. If you are happy with cheap burger type of food for your entire stay, you will be happy. If you want to eat decent or have a good outing in the evening in the Hotel restaurant, you are going to hate it. 3) Service takes long time to get. As I was reading these reviews, several people mentioned that it takes a long time to get a snack or drink in the afternoon, and I experienced the same. About 20-30 minutes wait to get a drink while you are at the beach or pool. If you don't mind waiting in line any time you want something, you are fine. If you don't want to wait 20-30 minutes every time you want a drink, you will have a problem. These 3 points above is all you need to decide for yourself if this hotel is for you. These are major points of an all-inclusive vacation, not picking. If you can say that you are happy with these 3 items, pack your bags. But if you are looking for a cheap steal and hope to get occasional shade, chairs on the beach, decent food, or not wait in line all the time for any kind of service, let me tell you right now that you are just not going to get that cheap steal here. Huge chances are, you will get whatever I just described. To make a point, one of the travelers here gave high rating to this hotel. She mentioned how you need to learn Spanish and give tips constantly from the moment you step in the Hotel to the moment you leave to get better service (Isn't it supposed to be all-inclusive with extra tips given for good service and not the other way around). How you need to wake up at 6AM to get warm food, or take many drinks at one time, so you don't have to wait 20-30 minutes every time you want a drink (drinks do tend to get warm rather quickly in the sun though). To me this sounds ridiculous, yet this is the exact mentality you need to have to like it there. If you do you will, and if you don't you won't, as simple as that. Many people don't care about it, and many people do, which results in viriety of rankings. Just honestly assess 3 items above and make an intelligent choice.
