We went here looking for souveniers. I got a t-shirt for $8 USD, which I think is decent. There were other stores there selling t-shirts for $15 USD. We ate at Planet Hollywood. Their food was alright but I thought the prices were a tad high. They have a river that flows through this mall and it stinks soooo bad. I swear there was sewer in there. They offer gondala rides but I couldn't imagine being on one of those in that river. The shops were nice though.

I loved walking around this outdoor mall. It is very nicely built, with the water from the lagoon running through. It has lots of nice restaurants and cafes. We went there during the night and day, it was much more crowded in the daytime.

Nothing says home like Starbucks, McDonalds, and Hooters. The prices at all the franchise places were pretty bad so don't go to them if you're looking for a bargain. If you want a flea market type experience, check out Market 28 or the Mexican Outlet Store right at the mall. They have pretty much everything you'll find at the flea market but in a single place and for comparable prices.

The mall is gorgeously situated. There are some beautiful views of the water as well as Venice-type rivers and fountains located throughout the area.

Having stayed in cancun for 11 days on a family vacation we had occassion to visit L Isla's a few times as it is the largest and most attractive Mall in the Zona Hotelera.
However I must admit it was nothing special and was no more than a standard American Mall.
Stay away from the "Interactive Aquarium" as it is a huge ripoff - we spent 500 pesos ($50) for entrannce only to find out that they charge extra for dolphin experience and feeding the sharks etc!
The standard ticket gets u a very brief visit that will fill up a hour of your time no more - stay away.
Also annoying is the parking which is difficult to get into - one side has very little space - and then if there is no room you have to check out of the loot and drive out 500 yards to the other 2 story parking lot.
All in all not worth the trouble.

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said before? The place is like an outdoor shopping mall but with canopies over the main 'street' to keep the direct sun off, but still outdoors. There are some lovely fountains - the kids love trying to run in and out without getting wet, and I love watching them; hubby pushed my wheelie in and left me stranded! All good fun.

Shops range from designer brands like Bulgari through to international brands like Zara and then down to many silver shops and also some tacky souvineer shops including a branch of plazza la fiesta, which is just over one of the many bridges that criss-cross the canals - all acompanied by a ramp (some are a little steep, but all are do-able easier with prams than wheelchairs though but never the less accesable). There are also little boats, that are sort of like gondola's, to take a trip on, we didnt as they didnt appear accesable and didnt manage to see anyone that could tell us, but I think children would enjoy them.

For food/drink options there are numerous local eateries, a mc donalds, hagen dazs, starbucks, planet holywood, and hooter in the fast food ranges, and also good dining, including Jugo de limon and Thai, both are located near to Interactive Aquarium, and wheelchair acces is by being guided through the aquarium over the bridge and into the restaurant. There are 2 steps, but the staff will help to lift the chair up/down and more than helpful.
There is a nice view of the dolphin pens from either. There is an accesable toilet at the interactive aquarium too. Whilest on the subject, there are other loo's one just outside aquarium on opposite side of path and one just under the escalators, I am sure there was another but didnt visit and cant remember where it was located.

Just one word of caution , there are several timeshare type people offering free or discounted trips and tours or vouchers off things at the mall; they dont always say that it is a time share or a sales pitch until they have been chatting for a while, so just be aware and a friendly not interested is enough, if you are though - a good way to get some discount trips. Dont let this put you off and its a good practice if you want to visit coral negro market or market 24.

Go, have a wander and enjoy.
