Before we went on this trip I read many reviews on this site, many of them not great so I was a little concerned. What a waste of thought and time. This resort was so beautiful, clean, and the most beautiful beach in Cancun. With the recent scare of the flu in Mexico, it was not full of people, which I really enjoyed, but each day was better than the last. We relaxed, enjoyed the ocean view from our room, great food and a friendly and very accomodating staff. We will go back there again and again. My best tip is to enjoy every minute here...time flies before coming home to reality! It was truly incredible.

We arrived in cancun, hotel picked us up in a timely matter.Check in took for ever. They tried to sell us there timeshare and would not take no for an anwser. Finally he left us alone. We then finally received our room, not what we had requested months earlier which was a beach front room. Asked if we could trade when one opened up, they said yes, that there would be a room the next day. Never did get the beach side. The staff was pretty friendly, but place really needs to be renovated more.We had a bathroom sink that leaked and then flooded, they said said they fixed it, ya it just had a slower leak now. The light next to the nightstand shocked me and they really didn't care when you told them. The deli was nothing like they show you, over priced!!! The beach was great, the pools were okay,not the best.Loved the bus system in Cancun!! Didn't eat in the hotel,went to town, better prices!!! probably wouldn't stay there again. Had a great time in Cancun!!!

We are on our last day at this resort. Our home timeshare is at the Regina in Cabo but this is our second visit at the location. Last year, we did not have a great impression, but the beach and location next to the Westin are so great - we gave it a second try. They have significantly renovated the guestrooms since our last stay. The service has been very good and the people very friendly. The room was clean and I never saw a bug. I think it has one of the nicest beaches Mexico with the option to walk down a few hundred yards to a protected getty area that makes it always safe to swim. I am in the hospitality industry so I was not expecting the Ritz. I do like the low key getaway feeling this offers its guests. Check in did take about 1 hour as they prepared our room.

I just returned from my second trip to Club Regina. My Aunt has a timeshare, and she spends two months a year there. I went for 15 days last year, but only 8 days this trip.
I have no experience with the check in of the hotel, as she is always there when I arrive. I have nothing but good things to say about Club Regina, and it's staff. Lots of great people there! The beach is wide there, and wonderful! The hotel is far from downtown, but if you are going to relax, it is a great hotel to stay at.
My experiences there have been really great. We had a 6th floor room facing the ocean. The views are wonderful.
I look forward to returning if I get the chance to again!
