Bel Air is a very clean, very beautiful hotel at the southern end of the hotel zone only 10 minutes from the airport.. My wife and I enjoyed staying there from Saturday through Tuesday April 12-15. We did not do the All Inclusive, but we would not recommend the all-inclusive unless you plan on eating every meal at the Bel Air, and drinking a lot of cervezas. Each staff member was extremely friendly. The hotel is quite relaxing, and at night the lighting is gorgeous. When we arrived on Saturday afternoon, we were quickly checked in and escorted to our room which was quite large and also beautiful, clean, air conditioned, and in excellent condition. We quickly changed into swimsuits and had lunch at their restaurant with our feet in the water. We enjoyed many drinks at the swimup bar or sitting in the jacuzzi right at the bar rail. We brought lots of singles and a $1 for each round got us a lot of extras. Although we were not on the all-inclusive, we provided a credit card for all expenses we incurred, and simply had to provide our room number and sign upon leaving the bars or restaurants. The main restaurant's menu is kind of small, but you only have to walk across Kukulcan Blvd a little to the south to find JC Capitans - a great little restaurant on the lagoon side which you must try for a sunset dinner. It doesn't look like much, but the food and service are outstanding. The city busses run 24/7, and only 750 pesos (less than a dollar!) will get you anywhere you want to go and back. A nice walk along the sidewalk to the north will take you to the El Rey ruins, which are small, but interesting, and you will see dozens of iguanas there.
They are CONSTANTLY cleaning at the Bel Air, so you need not worry about it being less than immaculate.
