Trip planned for cancun mexico from march 12- march 20th. we landed in cancun but made no reservations for diving. my husband thought that we could go ahead and scout out some places in mexico on our own.. i had previously been looking and saw mayan aqua dive on the internet.. when we got to mexico we tried to plan a trip through the hotel and after calling several dive shops there was no way we could get our daughter certified in her open water and us certified open water divers to dive at the same time. the hotel wanted us to bus our 15 yr old to other operations while my husband and i dove at another location.. Well lets just say that wasnt going to happen.. i got on the internet and emailed Ben from Myan Aqua Dive and in less than 20 min we were talking on the phone and making plans to meet the next day for all of us to dive and my daughter get her open water cert. this was amazing.. we wanted to stay together as a family and experience the same things. as it turned out my husband and I decided to go for our advance dive cert all at the same time my daughter did her open water.. this was the perfect soulution for us. Ben and his staff were a PERFECT match for us. While my daughter worked on her dives with Carl, Ben, Geroge, Gerogette (haha) Angle all went diving to the ship wreck. by the time we came back my daughter was done with her pool and ready to do the reef.. which was amazing by the way.. then we did the night dive and the cenotes as a family.. by the end of our 8 days we were all certified in our dives and complete.. Sirgeo took film while my daughter did a shallow dive and we snorkled above and watch the Whole thing. i cant say enough about this dive team. they are the best we have been with and knowlegable. we were informed of our dives b4 we dove and then de briefed after we were done.. Not once did we ever feel unsafe or in secure about our dives. and my daughter had the best experience in her life thanks to Ben and staff.. We can not wait to do it again next year. not only did we have a great week but we made some pretty awesome friends for life.. that is worth a thousand words. My wife and I just returned from a week in Cancun that included a diving exp with Ben Mooney (Ops Manager) and his awesome team (Karla, Karl, Jeorge and the others..).

I am a certified DiveMaster (though out of the water for almost 10 years...& + 120Lbs;( ), and I wanted my wife to enjoy her first underwater exp at its best.....and that is exact what we got at Mayan Aqua Dive!

We started our communications with Ben about a month prior to our arrival and it was "love at first email":)

We got royalty treatment (tnx Karla & Jeorge) and it was just.. PERFECT!

I have never scuba dived and took the beginners course and diving excursion with 5 other people on March 1, 2009 with Mayan Aqua Divers. The Mayan Aqua Dive team members were very professional and delt with my fears and nervousness with the upmost compassion. I feel that the instruction session was clear and complete. The divers were obviously experienced, competent and genuinely concerned for my safety as well as the quality of my experience on this dive. I was impressed with the personal attention I received after having my fears overtake me upon entering the water for the actual dive. The divers were proficient in their skills and gave me the time and attention that I required in order to be safe and enjoy this amazing life experience. I would highly recommend this service for your diving needs and will use them again upon returning to Cancun.

Ben knows customer service. We had a terrific experience. This crew treated us like we were kings. They were fast and on time. We did not wait on anything. All this with a very strong and accurate push on safety. It was very clear that they knew there profession and stuck to the dive tables and deco stops. We had three dive masters on board so we never once felt alone. There is no way I will ever use anyone else when I am down there. The deck hands and captain were as great and helpful as any I have experienced before. We (Americans) could learn a lot from these guys and gals.
They will pick you up and drop you off at your resort too.

Please remember that the crew and dive masters work from one tip jar. We did not know that and did not bring enough to put in for what we thought they deserved. Please put some extra in for us when you go!
