First off I want to let everyone know that the Sens Cancun is also Oasis America.. But the Sens section of the hotel is much nicer. The rooms are updated with plasma tv's and nicely decorated. Beds are exceptionally comfortable.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. Awesome artwork throughout. Very clean, and bright. It is a 10 minute drive to the hotel zone and the sister hotels (Oasis Cancun, and Oasis Palm Beach). Both are definatly worth going to check out.

The staff is absolutly amazing, especially the bar tenders and waiters. Although the front dest staff was a little rude. Enrique is the Greastest and you for sure have to ask him to make you a Maya!!

The food was delicious everyday. They do only have one restaurant and the menu's are all in Spanish, but the waiters are very helpful with explaining what everything is. They do have breakfast and lunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday. The food does get a little repetative but there are some great places to try in the hotel zone, and the international buffet at the Oasis Cancun was fantastic!

The pool and pool area is nice. Lots of chairs and canope beds to sit and soak up the sun. The hotel at night is a sight worth seeing. All lit up with different colours every few minutes.

Although we loved this hotel we would not recommend it for kids (students) looking to party. It is a very intimate, beautiful hotel. Which isn't really around many bars. So a hotel in the hotel zone would be better suited for people looking for bar hopping and partying. Cabs are a little expensive. Anywhere from $12-$18 ( 120-180 paso's) to get to the hotel zone. Ask them before you get in how much it will cost. It really shouldn't cost anymore than $12. I would recommend this hotel for couples looking for alone time, rest and relaxation.

My boyfriend and I are 25 and 26 and we had a fantastic time here. Will be going back again for sure!!!

The hotel is downtown Cancun, Avda Tulum. The Bus Station is a few blocks away and there are a few nice restaurants near by (Rolandi and La Veranda).
Make sure you know where you are going since locals (incl. taxis) won´t know. You can walk from the bus station, but it´s a bit scaring at night: you´ll have to cross a few very busy roads and there'll be people of all kinds around.
If you haven´t changed your mind by then, you´ll find the hall at the hotel quite comforting, sleek, nice music but only a big seating buddah to welcome you. It took a few minutes for someone to realize we needed to check in. Then we found that the real reception is in the hotel next door (they are the same hotel, but they aren't...) and the little reception desk at the Sens hotel is desserted 90% of the time.
The room was big and nicely decorated in a minimalistic style. However, it seemed as they had finished decorating it a few minutes before we checked in. The bathroom had a funky wall but having a bath was a nightmare. I felt like cleaning the floor since, although there was no hair or anything, a screen of dust was covering everything (as if the builders had just left the room).
Furniture was good looking but low quality, bed was fine, air conditioning was noisy and not very powerful.
In general, you could see this use to be a pretty cheap hotel that someone has taken over and tried to "upmarket it". It didn't work for me, i felt like i wanted to spend as much time as possible outside the hotel.
The restaurant and bed lounge are very chic (specaill the bed lounge, great deco) but expensive (for Mexico) and food was just average. Swimming pool fine, but again, nothing special.
So, probably a very good option if you are on a budget, but i don´t see the point on staying downtown Cancun.
