I would only reccommend this hotel if you have any early flight you need to get to OR like us you arrive very late and want to get to bed very quickly after your flight. While, the hotel is new and modern, it is far away from anything a tourist would want to be next to. On a positive note, the free shuttle to and from the airport is quite convenient and our room was very comfortable and clean.

  • Liked — Very comfortable bed, nice large flat screen, AND CARPET FLOORING>>>>not tile!
  • Disliked — Without a doubt- Location

My family and I stayed at this hotel in December, 2008. My son's money was stolen by a front desk clerk named Adan who had worked at this hotel at this time for only one month. Adan took my son's money (peso's) for a room then totally denied it. I observed him taking the money then making a show of extending my son's stay. He neglected to provide a receipt to my son even after I observed this transaction and asked for a receipt. He told me bold faced that he didn't know what I was talking about and denied taking my son's money for the room. I informed management but they acted like they did not care. I also informed management that I would be informing everybody I knew about this robbery as well as posting about it on every web site I can. There are better hotels which will have better treatment for you. Beware of Adan.....

Management response from lyansero, Lydia Garcia / General Manager
(Management representative)
Jan 18, 2009
We are truly preoccupied regarding your serious comments about our front desk Associate named Adan. A full investigation was performed by us for the period of your 1 night stay, as well as your son´s stay of 6 nights. Our closed circuit system at the front desk area was very instrumental in such meticulous review of your claim. We found out through thoroughly reviewing these recordings that Adan did not attend to any of the payment transactions. Your son´s bill, as well as yours were both settled with a credit card and no cash was ever involved in any such payments. Also the money exchange transactions made by your son, were not attended by Adan as you claim.

We did have some unpleasant situations with your son that transpired while you were away, due to the fact that he was intoxicated most of the time, and had inconvenienced some other guests at the hotel. That was the reason of our inability to extend his stay for more additional days when he had made such request. A formal complaint of one of the guests was presented to us as well.

We are very sorry for this situation and should you require more detailed information on the above, we would be interested in providing it to you. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed here on our last night on the Yucatan Peninsula after a trip over Christmas week 2008. We had a 8 am flight the next morning, and needed to get to the airport early. I booked the trip through price-travel.com for $126 per night. I assumed the hotel would be a standard airport hotel and solely a place to sleep for one night. I didn't even check the reviews in advance. I was absolutely astonished by the quality of the hotel. This is FAR from a standard airport hotel, but more like a small resort, with a pool, restaurant, nice grounds, nice big rooms, flat screen TVs -- I have never stayed in in such a nice hotel near an airport, and it was certainly the nicest Courtyard I have ever seen. Everything was up to US standards -- good water pressure, nice beds, nice TV. The rooms were starting to show a bit of wear, but not much. I give this room 5 stars because it was exceptional in its class of "airport hotels," not because it is comparable to a 5 star hotel.

The location is pretty terrible (along a highway on the route to the airport). If you are going to go to Cancun solely for the beaches and can afford beachfront accommodation, this is certainly not the place to go, but if you need to be near the airport for one night, or want something cheaper for a family, this is an excellent option. I believe the hotel operates a shuttle to a beach hotel (the Omni?), and guests are allowed to use the Omni facilities. We did not take this shuttle. The hotel also operates a shuttle service to the airport, which was exactly on time when we needed to catch it at 5:30 to make our flight. There was no extra payment for the airport shuttle.

The only real downside was at check-in. We had prepaid the room through the price-travel.com website and showed up at 3 pm (the earliest possible time for check-in). We were told that our reservation had been cancelled, but, after the clerk checked with the manager, it was quickly reinstated and we were given a room. I don't understand how pre-paid reservations can be cancelled. I guess this is the way that Mexico operates, and everything ended up all right, but it was a little disconcerting.

Stayed here in September 2008 for one night before heading to the airport early the next morning.

We found this hotel, by searching last minute websites and secured a good deal for $77. The room and bed (King bed) was a decent size, we had been travelling for 3 months and this was a little bit of luxury before heading on again. We arrived in the afternoon and were able to get straight into our room, I couldnt fault the staff, they were great. The room was clean, furnished well and had a large TV with all the channels.

I'm not sure how old the hotel is but everything was well maintained and it had a clean and new feel to it.

I loved the facilities, it had a great exercise room, which had windows overlooking the pool area. The pool area is well furnished, has bathroom facilities right next to it. The pool is clean and has a separate spa bath, which was great for relaxing.

We ate at the hotel at night, and whilst the menu wasnt extensive the food was great. They also have a shop where you could purchase snack. We were also able to take advantage of the free internet access in the business lounge area.

I agree that the downside is that it is in the middle of nowhere, and so you have to rely on the hotel for everything, but with only staying one night it wasnt a big drama.

All in all a great find for a few hours of just relaxing and not going very far!

  • Liked — The pool and the outside Spa
  • Disliked — Not very near to much, like shops, etc

My friend happened to work at the Marriott so when we booked this courtyard hotel we got it for about 35 a night, super cheap. The hotel turned out to be great inside, had a quiet pool which wasn't used hardly ever so you could relax in the pool all day if you wanted and nobody would bother you, also had a jacuzzi which was great and inside was really great, free business room, a restaurant which the food was okay but the service was awful they where not rude or anything like that, they just took hours to get the food ready. But everything else was great the rooms where 5 star the hotel from inside and outside was 5 star as well, just the people they are a little soft they take hours to do things, i think they got so relaxed living in cancun that they just stayed that way mentally, but besides that it was great. Also do not book any trips using their trip agent downstairs complete ripoff - better ask for a map of cancun which actually cancun is really simple a 5 year old could drive around and not get lost there are sign everywhere, ask for a map and rent a car because this hotel is far away from everything, also the hotel is really cheap because it is so far away but it has hourly trips to the Omni hotel which is in the hotel strip so its like getting everything at a good price. but i really recommend everyone to rent a car!!!!!!!!
